+DamonicFury
I have a Coleco Adam computer with its accessories (keyboard, controllers, printer, manuals, tapes, etc.) and the original box. The box for this is HUGE and I don't at all like the idea of trying to ship it as it is quite heavy and awkward. Plus it would be very expensive to ship! As such, l am hoping someone in driving range of York, PA might be interested in it. The box is in rough shape. It is torn in one corner, with duct tape and remains of duct tape in places. And the original styrofoam inserts for the printer are missing. But the computer works great! It loads both Colecovision carts and Adam tapes. I was able to load both the Buck Rogers and Adam Basic tapes. I could even get the printer to work. I'm also including a small selection of Colecovision carts: Donkey Kong (missing label), Carnival, Venture, and Zaxxon (rough label.) These seem to go for around $200 on EBay in similar shape, but I'm selling it for $125 to someone who can come get it in person. (I'm happy to let it go this cheaply to avoid the extreme nuisance of shipping it.) We can discuss meeting at a halfway point if that would help. Please let me know if you have any questions about this item.

But if you have some rarities, feel free to shoot me a list and maybe we can work something out. :-)
Crazy Climber
You ready to ship this beast yet?
+DamonicFury
You ready to ship this beast yet? It's unlikely. I'm thinking it would cost $150 + the rather large cost of shipping it. Also, I think I would need to fold up the box so that I could get everything into a square shipping box. If a buyer was ok with all of that, I'd consider it, but I'm fine waiting until someone more local is interested, especially since there's less risk of any harm coming to the machine that way. NIAD
They sell shipping boxes big enough to slide the whole Adam box into, so if you do end up selling to someone you have to ship to, just include the cost of the shipping box into the shipping price... which from experience, should be in the $75-$100 range via USPS Priority Mail depending on the distance. Crazy Climber
Yeah, I was thinking around $70 USPS Standard post (the slow way) which isn't too bad. I just shipped a zizzle pinball machine (about the same size/weight as this for $50ish When you are ready to ship let me know, I've always wanted one of these tanks
+save2600
FedEx would be cheapest yet on this bulky/heavy stuff! Get an estimate... think you'll be surprised. I know I've been the last few like-minded items I've sent. USPS is the highest of the big three now. And by a lot! ($25-$35 more)
+DamonicFury
I'm willing to look into it. NIAD, where would I find this extraordinarily large box?
+save2600
Larger boxes can be found at Office Max, Staples, Office Depot, the usual suspects...
Crazy Climber
Home depot has big moving boxes, I've shipped a few things in them before. You can also tape two boxes together, I do it all the time because I'm lazy

+DamonicFury
The Adam will be sold to Crazy Climber whose strong interest in this item has overcome my reluctance to ship this beast!
