mr-atari
Always wanted to try tapes and tape-images, but could not bare the loading times? MyBIOS can load tapes and tape-images up to 5000 baud :-) Thanks to the emulation core of altirra (v2.80 and up), you can go up to 2400 and see yourself how that loads. As hardware gadget, I use a home-brew SIO2arduino with added CAS-support to playback CAS-files. I added a overwrite function (multiplication-factor using jumpers) to go up from 600 to 6000 baud max. Using ALTIRRA: The only thing you need to do is to change the baud-rate in the CAS-file header and use MyBIOS as firmware. CAS-file header @ $000E change from $58 $02 to $60 $09 (600 -> 2400) I attached bruce lee modified to 2400 baud. Use START to boot this cassette. mr-atari
Why not add the Maxflash Studio file to this download so we have the option to put different game roms in the menu. There is only one game rom that I play a lot and it is not on the menu listing. Also there is not a 32k pack file in this download. OK, I think the separation and the optional "create your own workbook" has succeeded. Separate files that you need to do this are now included. :-) Much has changed internally, normal users won't notice. Like (safe) reset-handling and keeping (any) cartridge at the current setting. -See the change-log file Update uploaded to my home-page for download. Next thing on my ToDo-list is the debugging of the MyIDE PLUG-IN.... Anyhow, enjoy it for now.

mr-atari
Sorry guys, due to problems with the boot-loader and consequently the myide-plugin.... I had to removed the zip-file. I need some days to figure this out, no idea what went wrong between the final version and what I have zipped. Sorry for the inconvenience :-( The fixed and updated version will be back online tomorrow (I hope). Later! mr-atari
Short update:Somehow, don't ask me why, some source files were corrupted. Seems like a typical windows screw-up ....Murphy's law..... No current back-up, especially with my new code. -sigh- So, what better to do on those rainy days then re-doing/typing my routines. There is no upload available yet, sorry for that But I do have a new welcome screen. :-)

mr-atari
MyBIOS-V02 is now uploaded to my homepage. (see first post or use the link in my signature) Seems to work again as I intended with the V01 upload that got corrupted along the line..... Anyhow, you are welcome to leave feedback. Enjoy.
gargoyle
Seems like a typical windows screw-up ....Murphy's law..... I find Windows screw-ups way too overrated, so probably and most likely it's the Murphy's Law
mr-atari
OK, final version uploaded. Load/Save memory state is a cool (cheat) gadget. Just to play through some games you never going to finish either-way.... Most of the functional bugs are now removed. Some odd behavior bugs may surface. Just drop me a line when this happens. MyBIOS version -03 MyIDE-PLUGIN version -02 Enjoy, and thanks for all the feedback. Grtz, Sijmen. P.S. Working on the MyIDE-PLUGIN manual at the moment. In the meantime, please refer to the 4.8 and 4.9 manuals.

ivop
This is exactly the same "crash screen" I got during my "troubles with U1MB and SIDE2". Don't know what causes it yet. You are seeing part of the program and data memory. The CPLD part does not necessarily apply to you (probably not).
Stefan Both
Ok. I'll search for the toppic you mentioned. Thank you for pointing at it. I should apply my problem there, or start a new thread anyway. Wasn't a good idea to capture this thread. Stefan
flashjazzcat
U1MB should have auto-detected. The fact it didn't suggests something is wrong during the hardware detection phase.
Stefan Both
Ouuhhh... Can somebody delete my threads above? I tried to load the file using mydos... Now, using the build in Spartados, everything seems fine !!! Sorry guys
flashjazzcat
No worries: maybe there's a bug when SDX isn't used.
Stefan Both
I have a lot of experience " operating " old computers. However, regarding eight bit Ataris, I am still an unexperienced user. That is why I'm always expecting the fault on my side. I am just glad it works now. Stefan
Stefan Both
Damn... one last? question... from the manual: *) If no MyIDE-II/PLUG-IN is loaded, er... how to load the MyIde Plugin? Do I have to replace the "side loader" feature with the myide plugin ? Thank you! Stefan
Stefan Both
Also from the manual: "THE EASY WAY"Put myide-][.bin in your FAT-directoryBoot your atariUse the FAT-loaderSelect myide-][.bin and press cntrl-F (flash)-do not power down when flash is in progress! Select myide-][.bin and press cntrl-F (flash) and press cntrl-F (flash) ----> cntrl-F <---- Well... after correct flashing the MyIDE, it works perfect ! Thank you Sijmen ! mr-atari
Well... after correct flashing the MyIDE, it works perfect ! Thank you Sijmen ! Stefan My pleasure. The new unlocked Save/Load feature, I think, is awesome. I had one previously, that was rather buggy. This one dumps the complete 62k ram and settings. Until you turn the atari off. Playing "The Goonies", now makes sense. :-) Grtz from sunny Netherlands. Sijmen.

After some training in higher levels, the only limiting factor so far was the "oh, look at the clock" problem. I think I start a new try this evening, now with the safe and loading feature... After some training in higher levels, the only limiting factor so far was the "oh, look at the clock" problem. I think I start a new try this evening, now with the safe and loading feature... I quickly tested the R16 version of rescue on fractilus: (Loaded into MyIDE-][ as cartridge-emulation) Loading and saving works, but you can't leave the MAIN MENU with ESC. The game does not restore ANTIC/GTIA by itself. You need to press A (or D) instead of ESC. A will use the ANTIC shadow-registers to restore video. (D uses all shadow-registers for ANTIC/GTIA) Grtz, Sijmen. Edited July 9, 2017 by mr-atari
Stefan Both
[ (wispering:)err ssst ... Sijmen... What key to save and load... And where to save? Is there a requester appearing then?] I mean, is it possible to save it somehow on disk, and load it next day ? Stefan Edited July 9, 2017 by Stefan Both
mr-atari
From the main menu, use [HELP] to access. L=Load S=Save The memory dump is made to the MyIDE-][ SRAM. So when you turn-off the console, its gone. Sorry, its not "permanent"
Stefan Both
Ah, I see ! Well, no problem. I thought its possible to copy the content of the internal ram onto disk. Maybe in a second, seperate step. That is, why I asked. Stefan
