JaqenHghar
OK, WTH is this? Is this some sort of Ministry of Truth retcon to position the Raspberry Pi as an Atari product, thereby calling the VCS "mission accomplished"?! I mean there was an Atari computer in T2 and it was cool, but this ain't it. 3 6

The irony here is that Atari doesn't even own the IP to either of these two games. Raiders was licensed, and Math Gran Prix... now what happened to that one again? I remember now... I think it was sold. Why was it sold again? Oh that's right. At a bankruptcy auction, where Atari tried to sell off everything piecemeal after they failed to find a buyer for their full catalog. Because at the time, even Atari hated Atari. 5

Flojomojo
I suppose they COULD do all that. Or they could NOT, and they could continue to ignore/delete questions, or perhaps they will string people along with more empty promises. Here's a hint. Their last update was 16 days ago, and was completely unrelated to the project for which people like Jessie have already paid their money. Which will it be? "Bet'cha didn't know" they haven't shown much to brag about, "Atari wiz" or not. 55 days left in 2019!

If you add up all the faked videos, the infamous audio interview from a disappointed journalist and all the time interns spent on deleting critical comments, along with pictures of a random circuit board assuring the pigeons that everything is fine, then I would call it a scam.
Flojomojo
We live in a world with next-day delivery and software stores with thousands of choices. There are many reputable computer manufacturers and a bunch of videogame consoles and mobile platforms. Secondhand stores sell old games online, and retro emulation is everywhere. For someone to be taken in by stuff like this You'd need to have the same wide-eyed ability to believe stuff like this. Will they deliver as promised (dates and schedules subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances)? Maybe. Will you be disappointed if you give them your money? I should certainly think so. The fact that some people want Atari to rise from the dead is the main thing animating this stupid project. 2

Shaggy the Atarian
Things are swimming along so well in VCS manufacturing land that Atari is reposting the month-old "All is well!" Medium post.
