Kurt_Woloch
Here are my times for this past week (April 2th through 8th)... Intellivision: Auto Racing - 25 min. Hover Force - 27 min. in 7 sessions My mother's funeral as well as the soul mass are now through, so I had a bit more time for gaming. Aside from continuing my map of "Hover Force", I also played "AUto Racing" and started to make a map there as well, particulariy because there doesn't seem to be a complete map of it on the Internet. +thegoldenband
My times for the week: SNES: Super Soukoban - 2 min. Tetris Battle Gaiden - 6 min. Sega Saturn: Break Point Tennis - 423 min. Tennis Arena (PAL prototype) - 24 min. Virtual Hydlide - 522 min. Zap! Snowboarding Trix - 14 min. Beat Virtual Hydlide (on Hard) and Break Point Tennis aka Break Point. I also won a single match in Tennis Arena, which is all that game seems to offer, at least in its PAL prototype version, so I'm counting that as beaten too. The super-rare Japanese release also has a Tournament mode, which is in the menu of the PAL prototype but can't be selected. In the far more complete PlayStation version of the game, Tournament is just a bunch of user-selected opponents, and World Tour is the real meat of the 1P experience -- so it appears they shipped the Saturn version with no career mode whatsoever!

+thegoldenband
Here's the summary for Week 14, running from April 2 - 8. We logged 3776 minutes of eligible play, playing 90 games on a total of 18 systems. Top 10: 1. Virtual Hydlide (Sega Saturn) - 522 2. Break Point Tennis [aka Break Point] (Sega Saturn) - 423 3. Kaboom (Atari 2600) - 344 4. HeroX (TI-99/4A) - 240 5. Commando Raid (Atari 2600) - 129 6. Tunnels of Doom [Quest of the King] (TI-99/4A) - 120 7. Pac-Man (Atari 2600) - 100 8. Hunchy II (Atari 2600) - 96 9. Solar Fox (Atari 2600) - 86 10. Pitfall (Intellivision) - 65 Pre-NES top 10: 1. Kaboom (Atari 2600) - 344 2. HeroX (TI-99/4A) - 240 3. Atari 5200 (45) If it weren't for that darn Saturn, the Top 10 would be exclusively populated by pre-crash games! But instead it's that reasonably responsive RPG, Virtual Hydlide, that carries the crown and helps lead Sega's 32-bit console to the top. Virtual Hydlide also accedes to the 1000-minute club, earning spot #324 with 1423 minutes logged so far.

Opry99er
Interesting.... I think the 1,000 minute club might be losing some of its luster (which is to be expected after a decade of tracking). The 5,000 minute club seems to be the new elite. I am going to take a look back and see how many members of that club exist. Id venture to say less than 25. **edit** Looks like 18? Eltigro
Once again... crazy that Lawnmower Man is mostly one person... lol I mean, I have a decent sized chunk of those Suikoden II minutes... but that's at least a good game.

Atarian7
That's a lot of Kaboom!. Has my part of it reached 200,000?
carlsson
I checked the Kaboom! discussion from last year. By the end of 2017 Atarian7: 195,546 minutes Everyone else: 5,606 minutes So far in 2018 Atarian7: 3,132 minutes Everyone else: 40 minutes That means Atarian7 currently is at 198,678 minutes play time, or 97.2% of all times reported. Thus you have 1,322 minutes before you reach the magic 200K. Also, all the other members of the 5,000 minute club combined make up for just short of 70% of the time spent on Kaboom! Opry99er
Crazy. I could play Tunnels of Doom for two hours per day, every single day, and it would take me over 4 and a half years to get to 200,000 minutes.
carlsson
On October 20, Atarian7 will celebrate at least 10 years of documented Kaboom! playing. That is less than one hour per day, all year around for 10 years.
