Kiwi
I'm planning on submitting the game on July 31st at 11:59pm. The judges have 1 month to judge the game, picking apart, breaking controllers out of frustration, and scream in pure rage. Maybe only with my game because I intent it to be a bit difficult. 2 Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/274391-intybasic-programming-contest-rules/page/2/#findComment-4076399 Share on other sites

There are no extra points for difficulty, you know. We may also take points off for each controller broken. 1 Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/274391-intybasic-programming-contest-rules/page/2/#findComment-4076547 Share on other sites
+nanochess
Say I submitted a game and wanted to change it after. How would I do that? Also, I don't understand why we would need to put instructions on how to build the game. Wouldn't they just all be the same way? You should just resend it to the contest email before deadline. Not really. Someone could have used the --cc3 or --jlp options (or also Flash memory). artrag
When the results? And when a new compiler release? Are you going to publish the last rom submitted? +DZ-Jay
I'll let nanochess respond to the first questions, I can answer this: Are you going to publish the last rom submitted? Yes, that's the idea. -dZ. Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/274391-intybasic-programming-contest-rules/page/2/#findComment-4104030 Share on other sites
+nanochess
When the results? And when a new compiler release? Are you going to publish the last rom submitted? The results should be available by Oct/01/2018. The new compiler release in theory should be available one month later but my time dimension apparently stretchs in unexpected ways 1 Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/274391-intybasic-programming-contest-rules/page/2/#findComment-4104033 Share on other sites
+DZ-Jay
Are you going to publish the last rom submitted? By the way, although we will publish the final submitted entries in order for the entire community to experience the games as they were judged, you are all encouraged to continue working on your games and publishing new versions in their respective threads (or create a new thread, if you haven't already). -dZ. carlsson
I would suggest waiting until after October 1 before posting additional improvements, to not confuse readers regarding the versions submitted to the contest vs further improved versions past the contest deadline. 1 Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/274391-intybasic-programming-contest-rules/page/2/#findComment-4104043 Share on other sites
digress
I think these contests are fun and healthy for the community. Thanks for running the contest. It actually made it more likely for me to finish the game. I may return to it and improve more later on. 1 Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/274391-intybasic-programming-contest-rules/page/2/#findComment-4104046 Share on other sites

It's up to the programmer to do as he or she wishes. I do not think there's any problem in publishing newer versions while the judges deliberate. It won't influence us. Your mileage may vary, though. -dZ. 1 Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/274391-intybasic-programming-contest-rules/page/2/#findComment-4104049 Share on other sites
PuzZLeR
I think it's a good idea to continue now - while you are warm and still in rhythm.
