Keatah
If I'm thinking what your thinking, wouldn't they be on the previous downloads section of mamedev.org? ..along with the older version of the emu. S1500
I just moved it to C:\MameUI64, and lo and behold, games are working now.
Swami
I just moved it to C:\MameUI64, and lo and behold, games are working now. Congrats! Time to live it up! Haven't used the DAT files, though.
S1500
Congrats! Time to live it up! Haven't used the DAT files, though. I had some luck reducing files & storage on my RetroPie setup with an existing .DAT file, but no luck finding ones for MAMEUI64 + respective ROM set revision. mr_me
Speaking of rom sets, where does one get .DAT files(or is it XML?) for various rom set versions? I have a rather large ROM set, where I would rather slim 'er down to just originals. what kind of rom subset dat file are you looking for. E.g. golden age arcade games

I noticed there's a "golden age" section in MAME. Is there any way to tweak the settings to allow more games in the list? Or is it a static list? mr_me
Maybe you can use the exe in the Arcade version of mame with clrmamepro to reduce your rom set. http://arcade.mameworld.info/ If you have a non-merged set you can reduce the size by converting to a split or merged set. You can add to the "golden age" filter in mameui just as you would with a custom filter.

When I type in a specific name(one I just made up) in the filters column, should it add itself to the list at the left? So far, it's not for me, but I shall try again. mr_me
Sorry I shouldn't have said filters. In mameui you can create your own folder by creating an ini file in the "Folders" subdirectory.
