+sixersfan105
Here we have one of the extremely hard to find and highly sought after Sega Game Gear handheld consoles by Majesco. It has been tested and works great. As many of you know, in 2000, Sega licensed its Game Gear production to Majesco. Yes, the same Majesco that made the "holy grail" MK-1451 Model 2 Genesis (best audio and video encoders of any Model 2). The Majesco Game Gear is well-known for its improved quality capacitors (less prone to failures) and better screen with more accurate color representation compared to the previous Game Gear models. Given the late production run, the Majesco models are also significantly newer, as Majesco produced the Game Gear between 2000 and 2002, while Sega first launched the Game Gear way back in 1991. Please see pictures for exact condition of Game Gear. The screen has some light surface scratches and a bit of dust as seen. The start button has an imperfection in one corner of the plastic but it functions fine. The unit is powered by six AA batteries or the standard Sega MK-2103 Model 2 Genesis power supply. Neither batteries nor a power supply are included in this listing. Asking $110 including shipping to anywhere in the continental US. Willing to ship to Canada but you'll have to chip in a bit extra (and be willing to endure inevitable border delays). Please send me a PM with interest or any questions. Thanks. +madman
The screen is actually pretty nice on these compared to the original. A nice system to buy if you don't want do a screen mod.
jesusc
These are actually coveted these days? I worked in a game shop when these were rolled out and my memory of them is having a high defect rate. Seemed like 1 in 5 were returned because of non responsive buttons or bad screens. Very highly coveted. They are preferred over the original model for sure. First I'm hearing of any issues upon roll out 20 years ago, but again, yes, they are considered to be better built, as mentioned above, and typically go for a pretty penny. +wongojack
Are there any outward immediately visible differences (besides the sticker on the back)?

Feel free to purchase mine (if it's still available) after striking out on finding one in the wild, @wongojack ?
