Alright, what's your secret? We got to the same level, but you have a drastically higher score. I thought I was squishing the most points out of it by getting the bugs while moving (300 points according to the manual). Are you jumping back and forth over these guys? Nice job!

Not sure...?  Does speed climbing help...?  I don't try to climb more that 2 levels as a third gets something dropped on my head. Squish'ed a bunch of enemies along the way. Dugger - can you explain your strategies?

It is possible to point push on the early levels by repeatedly jumping over the creatures - 200 points each time.  But this becomes more difficult once objects start to fall down the screen.  Also, try to stomp on creatures while Sam is moving as this gives you 300 points instead of 100 points if Sam is stationary.

You can finish easily finish Level 1 with over 15,000 points by doing the above.

Keen to hear Duggers techniques though - would love to learn how to play this game better as it's one of my favourites on the CV.

This weekend I turned the score over in Mr. Do's castle then they game froze with gibberish for a score.

I guess the score can only go up to 16 bits wide?

Numerous CV games freeze or glitch out at times. Q*Berts Qubes is famous for it.
