Or have done a Tommy and disappeared completely. I wont name any names though, I don't want it to seem like I'm holding a Grudge.

Wasn't he strictly an Amico poster? Probably worked for IE. He was at one of their events and ran the corporate reddit. From what I heard he stopped posting there around the time layoffs started.

Great Amico news here. https://www.gameswirtschaft.de/wirtschaft/intellivision-amico-games-lizenz-bbg-entertainment/ Last paragraph is a big lol.

A time window for the expected delivery of the Amico console is still not in sight. Plaion GmbH (formerly Koch Media), which is responsible for sales in Europe, does not want to comment on the situation at Intellivision.

Could this be the BBG Entertainment "licensing deal" Phil Adams teased on August 30th?

The Amico exclusive game Dynablaster is now available for android and ios platforms.  But not the Amico.  And Dynablaster is free to play offering in app purchases.  Wonder what percentage of the in-app purchases are going to IE.? (https://www.bbg-entertainment.com/games/dynablaster)

It's also coming soon for Nintendo Switch, Xbox, Steam, Google Play, Windows and Amazon. (https://dynablaster.com)

Would not be surprised if all along BBG was developing the game for other systems and the IE deal was just for an Amico port.

Imagine now paying $280 or $340 for the opportunity to play the same free to play game on the Amico.

The Dynablaster game has been available for iOS and Android for years. Here's that same page from 2016 - https://web.archive.org/web/20160315073524/bbg-entertainment.com/games/dynablaster

The Amico game was always a port or reskin of an existing mobile game, just like so many other of their "exclusive" games.

The Dynablaster game they showed off has been listed to be for every platform under the sun for a long time now.

Space Strikers is also coming out on other platforms under the name Graviators (to be released in 2023).

Screenshot_20220906_221547.thumb.jpg.3283b1d480cc601509f23fbdcd58b911.jpg

Emoji Charades, Evel, Ridged Force, and Finnegan (if you count Fox n Forest) are already out on other platforms.

Brain Duel was offered in the past with an Einstein branding but has been removed I believe. Dolphin Quest is supposed to get a kickstarter and will be on multiple platforms.

BBG has 4 games, 2 are Brain Duel and Dynablasters. I would not be surprised to find they pick up two others that have been started but not finished. Something like Snafoo or Tanks.

I'm guessing the special licensing they mentioned in their last update that will also be released somewhere other than just Amico, are Night Stalker and Cloudy Mountain.

Even if you ignore their inability to do hardware, they really don't have the games to justify the purchase. At best right now I think best case scenario is that the total Amico library is 15 games. That is assuming all games with codes in boxes are actually finished. I wouldn't assume anything beyond that is finished.

If you aren't interested in talking about the Amico and just want to crap on AtariAge, go do it elsewhere.

 ..Al

I actually am very interested in talking about the Amico and that's why I'm here. I know my comments are usually in the sarcastic and joky territory and I can understand if the previous posts were too confrontational, my apologies. So not to sound like I'm crapping on, I'd like to share my thoughts in the form of constructive criticism.

I think the handling of the Amico fallout has been very poor on behalf of Atari Age forums. The official reason for closing and hiding the Amico forums was a double-edged sword. I'm sure it stiffled out any unwanted drama and bad behaviour for a time but it also conviniently now hides all bad decisions and involvement regarding the role of Atari Age. People are very interested in this bizarre subject but the fact that we are here discussing it now goes against your official statement to not discuss about the Amico until it is released.

Also, many talking points in this thread come from the old Amico forum. And those talking points have to be fetched from an archive that someone else has painstakingly compiled. And that archive is the megathread that you have chosen to hide. Ironic, to say atleast. There really shouldn't be any legimate reason to keep the Amico forum hidden anymore.

I followed the Coleco Chameleon saga when it happened and was very impressed how this community handled it. It's so very peculiar how things went completely differently regarding the Amico.

I have no idea why or when that thread got deleted (I don't need to know). I wasn't paying too much attention around that time.

What I do know is that hosting a forum like this is a lot of work. Albert and the moderators are doing this work to keep this place enjoyable. Do they get it wrong (in my opinion) sometimes? Yes. Usually, though, they get it right. So, if your post disappears, it's probably because it was against the rules or in poor taste. The thing to remember is that we are all only guests in this great place. Treat it and the people in it with respect, and it will be more enjoyable... for everyone.

FYI, subscriptions to AtariAge are here, if you can afford a couple of dollars or so a month:

https://forums.atariage.com/subscriptions/

Somebody's got to pay for all the wild mod parties.

Thanks for the info. I'll gladly pay a few bucks once the Amico threads are opened again. I'm a big fan of transparency in all the things I support.

Perhaps that is something that drew me to IE. After all, they are the most transparent company that has ever existed. Tommy said so and I believe it.

Take it for what it is worth, but I was one of the people who have not only been a member here for quite a while now but was also in the thick of things. I was attacked, called thermonuclear butthurt, implied my wifes concerns were made up, called names, had members go after my work, CEO comment on my family, etc etc.

I also know the main Amico mod was talking to Tommy in PMs (because he told me), at which Tommy was probably filling him full of a bunch of made up lies since I have seen Tommy do to others in different venues. So yeah, that mod made a lot of bad decisions and did a poor job at handling things. You think your posts being removed is bad, but I saw mod posts get deleted by other mods during this.

But at the end of the day it was one part of the forum. There are other parts here to enjoy that has people that don't give two of Tommy's craps about Amico. I don't see one mess up representing the whole, but I do know others do or will. That's for you to decide.

Some days I miss being told ENOUGH by Ole Jaybird, or talking down to me when others attacked me here, or letting Tommy crap in a thread with his infomercial lies. He may have had his head up Tommy's butt, but at the end of the day he wouldn't have been the only one to do so if you think he did. I haven't seen him post in awhile and I do hope things are okay with him.

I would understand more as to why you would be upset if you had been a member here for a long time. It does come off like you just want to take a dump. If I can deal with how things went I'm sure you can to. Maybe you should go to the Switch forum and discuss some porn games?

Also for some good viewing....

They're only transparent in the sense that you should be able to see right through the lies. 😀

This is the first gif that comes up for me when searching "MIA," so I'm just gonna roll with it out of respect for those we lost...

I'm sorry you had to go through that, I can't imagine how I would have handled it. But to be clear, I'm not criticizing how things went before and how some individuals were mistreated. That was only one part of this bizarre, confounding and most of all, entertaining mess. I'm talking about how things are handled now. This is not about one mod making a booboo and aww chucks, it was just one part forum but look here we got other funtime places to enjoy.

The Amico is a multimillion dollar scam. Atari Age was a huge platform for that scam. Atari Age now tries to hide all involvement in said scam.

You can't heal cancer by hiding. It needs to be looked at, examined and then treated for not to effect the whole. The situation now though:

Hard to say it's just a reskin of the old Dynablaster currently available on mobile, the new multiplatform Dynablaster isn't available yet.  They might have to back-license parts from IE, that may or may not be one of the four they are talking about.  And there's no reason the Amico version can't be online multiplayer as that part is managed by servers outside of IE and common to all platforms.

Of the fourteen Amico packins and boxed editions, two are based on existing mobile games, three if you include Dynablaster.
