DirtyHairy
Just a small note: Stella now supports ELF and runs Mattress Monkeys fine. Currently you have to build Stella to use the latest code, but the next release will include ELF support. 5
Albert
Mattress Monkeys will be making its debut at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo this weekend! Here's the box: I'm going to try and have the 2600 and 7800 versions of the game running side-by-side at the show! Mattress Monkeys will be available online in the AtariAge Store this fall. ..Al

doug0909
Now imagine a double header cartridge where the other (much wider) side fits into a 5200... The first ever 2600/5200/7800 cartridge. Maybe we'll even have double header Atari/Intellivision or Atari/Colecovision cartridges one day...
8bitPoet
Tested and confirmed! The 7.0 release of Stella supports the Executable and Linkable Format (ELF), which means you can now play Mattress Monkeys on your computer! https://stella-emu.github.io/downloads.html A huge thanks goes out to all the developers who contributed to this update! The final .BIN of Mattress Monkeys is available on the initial post of this thread. Have fun!

I don't like to draw comparisons but it does sting a bit when my efforts have seemingly gone completely unnoticed. Gopher2600 has supported ELF for over two years 🙂

As an emulator developer I got used to very little feedback (games get way more of it). That was a major reason why the Stella team decided to take a break. 1

I certainly didn't mean to diminish all the efforts that have been put into Gopher2600. @ZackAttack and I use it all the time! You're absolutely right that you could play the game on the computer already using Gopher2600. Poor choice of words on my part. I did mention Gopher2600 compatibility when I posted the final BIN, back in June. I just wanted to recognize the devs that continue to contribute to these important applications.
