I miss them just like I miss Toys R Us. Yes, so at point point, people wouldn't spend 7.90 on it when that was actually something like 15 dollars in todays money, lol. Put it on eBay today and you'd probably get it

JetmanUK
Star Wars The Arcade Game had become one of the few super expensive games that I wanted but was not gonna pay the ton of dosh that Fleabayers are asking for. My solution? Get a repro cart! It's NTSC (obviously) and the guy printed me a lovely cart shell too. Take a look at this beauty: Not bad eh?! Now I can play it on the 2600 Plus. 🤟🏻 Edited May 29 by JetmanUK 9

It's like the repro cart I have of that game Spiders. The art work is really cool.

Yeah I like that we can buy them, it's not as if they are currently available, and any money spent on original carts now goes to eBay/a shop and the seller, none to the devs/publishers, so repro is fine for games from this era. I do not consider this 'piracy'. I have decided not to attemp to find some games now, they are just silly prices, so like Star Wars I will have a repro copy of them. Going forward with other games I think I will just shove the PCB in a Combat doner shell, but the seller offered this one to me and it's great, very kind of him. Stronghold is listed for crazy money on fleabay. Erm, no thanks. Look at this madness. Loose: With manual: Complete: Here is a very boring photo, it's my Stronghold. I love Commavid's games, more on those elswhere... Edited May 29 by JetmanUK

But those prices are too high. You're better off just downloading the ROM for the expensive games.

Yeah, I play ROMs on Stella and my modded OG consoles (via the Harmony cart), but as we know we require (and enjoy!) physical carts on the Plus, so this is my solution to the greedy sellers problem. If you dismantle the 2600+, you'll find the front plate and the plate with the slot and levers to be seperate... so you could replace them in next revision🤔 Hey, 2600+... JetmanUK
I think an X-Wing is controlled with something more akin to a Quickshot 2, minus the auto fire, of course.

Alex_813
Picked up this Activision Checkers cart at a flea market this weekend and it has a foam insert inside. Don't remember ever seeing one of these. Was this common for Activision carts?
