Food Fight (by Mega Cat Studios) - (in VCS Store) (VCS EXCLUSIVE)

So my 9 year-old daughter and I tried it out. It’s not too bad and about what I expected. She really loved it. My only complaint is that on my stock 800, the frame rate drops to unplayable levels when playing couch co-op with another person (we haven’t tried playing against an online opponent yet.) I plan on upgrading to 32GB RAM in the next day or so and I’ll post an update.

There's now a new update out for Food Fight Culinary Combat. I've not had time to check out the update myself but i thought i would give a heads up incase anyone has missed it. I have no idea what the update improves there's not an official log yet but i found a post on the Discord from user who noticed these changes :

 

Online matches don't show my name anymore, I'm displayed as player 1.
Also:
Hit Y for quick match (was create match)
Hit Start for Create Match.. (quick match is random settings).
Avatars and skins look a bit more polished  and it handles slightly different...
Items in Haunt Topic are displayed larger/clearer.
Oh, Bots seemed way harder on full difficulty.

Cool, These were my two complaints with the game..   Controls were a bit too loose, and graphics looked kind of sloppy.   I'll check it out tonight to see how it's improved

It seems like there going in the right direction with the game for sure! I didn't really have to many issues with the game myself, i thought it was pretty good for what it is but it's nice to see it's still going to be getting the update treatment and hasn't been abandoned. It's just a shame that it can be tricky to find a match online these day's with the Atari VCS 800 being a US only console the user base is still small which makes it difficult to get the most out of Food Fight. I would love to see cross platform play added when it releases on the other platforms, it'll be a much more fun experience.
