carlsson Posted January 21 Share Posted January 21 I tried again today, and my conclusion is that with the number of gates missed and ran into, my times using this dance mat are twice those I get using a regular joystick (or in my case the Starplex). Slalom not to shabby First run 3:01.7 (7 missed gates), total time 6:18.1 (including another 7 missed) Then 2:28.2 Total time 5:08.5 Downhill is the tough one, completed the first run in 3:06.9 2:56.9 2:36.8 2:26.1 all failing to complete the 2nd run s0 9:59:9 but I stuck with it and then 2:21.1 and finally managed to complete the 2nd run with a total time of 4:37.2 Ski-Quest is much easier going than downhill, you can jump fences here (you cannot in Downhill). Completed rounds 1 and 2, used 3 credits on the third round with the Ski-Jumps and then skipped this to try round 4 with my last credit and only failed by a measly 1$ of ski-cash not collected Final score 3,180 Think it is worth skipping to round 10 to practice the ski-jumps, then playing proper. You may do better staying left as there are often more jumps on that side I think Although SKI-IT is tough at first - probably I did the programmer played his own game too much at the time of writing it, it still was fun to play and I wanted another go, and made improvements on each go. The 14 missed was on my first go before I remembered that the flags do point you in the right direction Flags on Slalom and also on Ski-Quest though they are not the same! Slalom 2:10.0 (2 missed) and total 4:32:3 with another (4 missed) Downhill 2:18.2, total 4:35:7 had anther run 1:53.0 total 4:42.1 Ski-Quest not so good still not landed a jump on Round 3 - must try harder! (2,190) More hints Along with the boost start and the gate flags showing where to go you should be able to make improvements. You can also choose 1-2-3 for ski speed 2 default, 3 slow and 1 fast which is much more fun and makes you much more manoeuvrable. Make use of the jumps to the sides a lot as they stop you gaining sideways momentum, just steer slightly L/R before jumping to position for a gap or to avoid a tree etc. Release fire where you want to stop 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Slalom 1:57.7 (1 missed ) total 4:01.8 (+3 missed) Downhill 2:19.1 - 4:43/5 then 1:49.2 - 4:16.5 SkiQuest 6,390 got to Round 7 with the magic chests but didn't bag enough ski-cash. Ski Jumps were challenging on levels 3 and 6 but got through them.
