LOL

I'm really sorry, guys.

The temptation was just too big.

Alas, Go Go Home Monster Went Went Home.

But, like Fox said, the quest for the Holy Grail continues!

It makes the genuine Go Go Home Monster even more special.

You got away with it Rom for we all respected and trusted you (not any more though :D ). Damn that was a good one though, had me green with envy but next time it will be for real ;)

Yes.

I'm pretty sure the real cart is still out there somewhere.

All other Home Vision titles we don't have scans of are IMO vaporware, though.

The only thing I still don't understand is why there are such huge gaps between the released serial numbers.

It seems like they were planning to release a whole range from 1 to 40, but at the last momnent decided to leave out a bunch of numbers.

I can't think of any other reason.

That was one of the best April fools jokes  Nobody even doubted it.

I'm sure it exists too, just like Funvision's Time Warp showed up many years later, it will too some day.

So The last Atari 2600 holy grail cart remains a holy grail!

Don't stop believin'

Got some hot news for all Home Vision fans!

Here's the complete Home Vision range sold in Italy:

Including the rumored Magic Carpet and IQ 180 (VCS 83128)!

Notice how this artwork:

http://www.atarimania.com/game-iq-memory-teaser_s11157.html

was inspired by the original IQ 180 artwork.

This older list mentions Whales, which could be Sea to Whales later released as Frisco:

No World End, Go Go Home Monster, Ski Hunt, World End and X'Mission, though.

Now, if someone can translate the Italian description of Magic Carpet for me, then I can hopefully identify the game.

Un gioco dalla magica atmosfera

orientale: dovete superare sul vostro

agile tappeto volante un gruppo

di venti castelli; se avrete successo

nel vostro tentativo riuscirete

a liberare una bellissima principes

sa, ed otterrete una vita supplementare

che andrà ad aggiungers

alle sette in dotazione all'inizio del

l'avventura. I punteggi ottenuti dopo

ogni salvataggio si accumulano

durante la partita, ma non dimenticate

che riuscire a salvare la principessa

diventerà ogni volta sempre

più difficile.

Babelfish sez:

A game from the magical atmosphere it orients them: you must exceed on yours agile flying carpet a group of twenty castles; if you will have happened in your attempt you will succeed to free the beautifulst one principes it knows, and you will obtain an additional life that it will go to add it knows them seven in equipment all' beginning of the l' adventure. The scores obtained after every rescue are accumulateed during the game, but not forgotten that to succeed to save the prince it will always become every time more difficult.

Saving someone from 20 castles...each becoming progressively more difficult? Score tallied after each rescue?

Google Translate does a bit better, especially after removal of the line breaks, and a couple other tweaks:

A game from the magic oriental atmosphere: you must pass on your agile flying carpet a group of twenty castles and if you have succeeded in your attempt to free a beautiful princess, you will get an extra life that will be added to the seven supplied at the beginning of the adventure. The scores are accumulated after each save during the game, but do not forget that being able to save the princess will become increasingly difficult each time.

Great BS ROM..you a hole  ;)

I have fallen for it again ? ,i am so gullible

Trust me: these scans are real.

No April Fools this time.

Thanks Franzman for the translation!

According to the box, it's an 8K game.

The description still doesn't ring a bell, but I'm going to think about this one for a while.

Seven lives, twenty cities...

Hmm.

What about Dragon Defender:

http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-2600-vcs-dragon-defender_16419.html

This game was most probably originally a Home Vision game.

A screenshot of it was shown on the Repro Game box from Home Vision:

http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-2600-vcs-repro-game-kit-repro-cart-repro-vision-system_20116.html

You start with seven lives and have to fly over several landscapes.

Don't know if you're rewarded with an extra live after the final stage, though.

Have to play it first.

And it isn't an 8K game.
