About this blog

You may or may have not seen my stuff in status updates but I like to arrange various video game themes for various string and percussion instruments. I don't really have anywhere else to keep track of new creations and updates, so I guess I'll just spill them all here.

WIP: Tal Tal Heights

I'm feeling especially bored today so I worked on Tal Tal Heights. I'm around halfway finished, and that first half is complete, has no discernable issues. The latter half shouldn't be too hard. After I'm done with the other half, I'm going to add a second part which is going to be based on the Switch remake version of the piece. They're similar but different enough to be worth arranging separately. For example, in the original Gameboy version the main melody is played by the highest voice there

Safety in the Sanctuary(ALttP)

Safety_in_the_Sanctuary.mp3 Spent an hour or so arranging this piece and optimizing it. This was trickier than it could have been because I decided not to be lazy and just use 8th notes for everything. If I did that it would sound lame, with none of the overlapping notes. Instead I did this: Safety_in_the_Sanctuary.pdf Just download it. The sheet music is interesting. By the way, that version of the sheet music is a slightly earlier version that uses treble clef for violas to make it easier

WIP stuff, now with mp3!

I found a spare charger somewhere, now my laptop is back alive! Here are some of the WIP stuff. I think I've already posted the Majora Title Theme and I've made no progress since then. Tal Tal Heights is still too early to post here yet. Linebeck's Theme is planned to come after I'm done with some of the stuff. Ballad.mp3 contains a partially completed Ballad of the Goddess. Measure 35 and on is incomplete, before that I think is good enough. Midna.mp3 contains Midna's Lament, sti

WIP stuff.

Currently have some things in the works. Some are short and need to go in medleys (never made one so idk how that's gonna turn out to be) such as the LttP title theme, Deku Tree theme, Navi Flying theme, but some deserve to be complete pieces, like Midna's Lament, Ballad of the Goddess, Tal Tal Heights, and the Majora's Mask Title Theme. Sadly no recording is available at the moment, and it might be that way for a while because my laptop charger completely broke and the battery died this afterno

Song of Storms

Not happy with this one but I don't think I can improve it anytime soon. videoscore_6409071.mp4

Gerudo Valley

Here's another classic from OoT. It's not really suitable for string quartet but who cares. videoscore_6408461.mp4

Silence of Daylight...

Definitely not too proud of this one. I tried, and I can't seem to make the drum part not lousy. Here it is anyways. videoscore_6386113.mp4

New Castlevania thingy in the works.

Obviously I've already made a lot of it but not quite done either. The Silence of Daylight was one of the rather challenging pieces, but I think it won't be half bad once I adjust the cello part a bit and finish the drum part. silenceofdaylight.mp3

Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!

Here's the Punch-Out!! theme for "string quartet." This, as you may notice, was very easy to make. videoscore_6254185.mp4

Some Castlevania stuff...

It's been revamped since I posted these on status updates yesterday. Well, Bloody Tears, not so much, but Vampire Killer now has a much better percussion part(now with a drumset) and a few iffy parts have been patched. videoscore_6363651 (1).mp4 videoscore_6364084 (1).mp4

Tetris Type-A

I'll start off with a classic; the Tetris Type-A theme. I seriously doubt there would exist any human being that does not recognize this song. Anyways, here it is, arranged for 1 Violin, 1 Viola, and 1 Cello. videoscore_6242407.mp4
