Atari 2600 Universe is born!

So Atari 2600 Land has bit the dust. The attempt to update the site was blocked by some very rude person at Turbify who didn't speak English very well and hung up on me. So I said "Screw this!" and went to another hosting company. Now the lovely address for all my stuff is www.atari2600universe.com. I just now created it so there's not much on the new site, just the .gb for the latest Frank the Fruit Fly.

If you go to the website, you'll see an announcement for something called "It's Amazing!" That's not describing Frank the Fruit Fly (although the game is amazing.) This is something different. I got to thinking about Weekly World News for some reason and stumbled across a website that has all the issues on it. I remember owning a couple of them, but I guess they're gone now. I said "I can do this!" and so I decided to do this. The first issue of It's Amazing! will debut April 2, 2023 (purposely not April Fools' Day). Each issue of the very short e-zine will bring you amazing stories, just like Weekly World News did. Here is the cover for issue #1.

Now I'm wondering whether I should change my username to reflect the new site. I may resurrect Atari 2600 Land if it starts cooperating with me again, but this doesn't look promising. I think the problem was the name on the credit card wasn't my name, and since she didn't speak English very well she didn't (and couldn't) convey which name she wanted. Oh well. It was nice owning it when it worked, though. I solved that problem with my new account on the new thing by making sure all my names are the same, so I didn't use the credit card.

The support line for my new web hosting company is American, so if I ever need support, I hope they can speak English well.
