Ze_ro
Important Note: This weeks competition is over and no further scores will be accepted. It's dinnertime and Lady Bug is ready to eat! Take a stroll through the garden and nibble on the rows and rows of pretty flowers. Be careful though -- there are many dangerous insects that just love to eat ladybugs -- and they're fast too! Block their way by swinging the gates closed, and stay away from the deadly poison. Oh -- and don't forget to collect the bonus prizes to get the help of other ladybugs and a special invite to the Veggie Bounty Harvest! GOOD LUCK! Note: This game is available from the AtariAge Store if you wish to buy it. I highly recommend it! Game Information Game Name: Lady Bug Released By: John W. Champeau, 2006 Left Difficulty: B / Novice - Faster Lady Bug Right Difficulty: Your Choice (controls video brightness) Game Mode: Standard Chosen By: johnnywc Post your scores right here in this thread, and I will add them to the list. Remember to play the game with the recommended game mode and difficulty settings as shown above so that your scores will be consistent with everyone elses. The deadline for posting scores is Thursday, May 24th at 1:30 AM (CST). If you want to suggest a game for future weeks, please send me a private message and let me know! I will add your game to the list. One one game per person will be kept on the list, so you will not be able to suggest a game until your first game is played! (Please note that due to time constraints, I very rarely reply to private messages... but I do read them all!) Anyone can play! Just post a score and I'll add you to the list! Please read the Rules & Information if you haven't already done so! [1] Scoring Points in Lady Bug Eat a flower - 10 points Collect a blue item - 100 points Collect a yellow item - 300 points Collect a red item - 800 points Collect a vegetable - 1000 to 9500 points, as shown before level Note that scoring is multiplied by 2x, 3x, or 5x depending on how many blue hearts you have collected (This multiplier does not affect vegetables) Hints and Tips As always, you really should read the manual. Unfortunately, I don't know of any online versions of the manual. Anyone have a PDF? Check out this post for a scanned copy of the manual (Thanks Nathan Strum!) Clear the section immediately surrounding the enemies' hideout before you do anything else. If you manage to eat the veggie in the middle (which stuns the baddies for a few) and then an enemy hits a skull (which sends him back to the center) when he leaves the base, another veggie will be there. So, I guess it's possible to get 3 veggies per board, if you are good at luring the enemies toward the poison. --Zero

The MindMaster
Yes indeed, thank you Atari2600land. I'm new to this emulation scene. Got stella going and Ladybug plays fine. Is there a way to use my computer joystick instead of the keyboard commands?
Crazy Climber
Damn, I was going to wait until the MGC to purchase this one. I don't really do emulation either...guess I'll check back in next week

toymailman
This is a very well done game. The cart and manual are really cool and gameplay is fun. Maybe this is the one I will make a box for next. Anyway, my best so far is 155,450.

Deteacher
Yes indeed, thank you Atari2600land. I'm new to this emulation scene. Got stella going and Ladybug plays fine. Is there a way to use my computer joystick instead of the keyboard commands? If you have an X-Arcade, or other programmable joystick, those work well. Otherwise, I don't think Stella has joystick support internally. Please, correct me if I'm wrong, though!

The MindMaster
Thanx for the info Deteacher, I messed with the controller settings and joystick is working fine. Ladybug is one of the all time classics. Had a lot of fun with it at the arcade and on the Colecovision.
