This is mostly thrift store stuff from years of looking, - so it's not like I'm rich or anything! In all my years of thrifting I've only ever seen one Jaguar that was marked too high. Similarly I've only ever seen two 5200's, one overpriced and one turned out to be busted. Doubt that I'll ever find a Neo-Geo or another TG-16 (been years, and I've never seen the CD add-on). It's been years since I've seen any Atari computers or another 7800 either. The thing I'd most like to find is probably a Sega CDX.

In our house we mostly play the 7800 with Cuttle Cart 2, the Messiah NEX, SNES (been finding LOTS of games lately), and the Wii (still mostly playing Cube games on it). The Atari Video Music is also permanently hooked up.

I'd love to finally get a PS2 so I can play Katmari and Parappa, and I'd really like to find a Jaguar with CD (I'm a sucker for music visualization), and a Coleco Telstar (or whatever that thing is called) for those crazy triangular carts.

I own 3 2600's (a four and a six from Sears, plus a vader), plus a 2600 jr. (on loan from Bohus for mod testing), and a 2600 modded motherboard (on loan from povlok1 for mod testing).

Besides those, I've got:

7800 (collecting dust)

Lynx II (collecting dust)

Dreamcast (collecting dust)

GBA SP

PSP

PS2

I had a PS1, but gave that to my brother-in-law after getting the PS2.

I don't actively collect for any of them (except for the dust, of course ;) ). I just buy what I want to play. I have more 2600 games than everything else combined.

  • 3 weeks later...

I hadn't been playing much of anything recently, until my discovery of a 5200 in a trash can. That kind of reignited my Atari playing.

I have a 2600 four toggle that's kind of out for display. I bought it an a new Junior from Best some years ago. Also got a good working six toggle, which was what got the ball rolling again for me with Atari in the mid 90s.

I have a 5200, 7800, Jaguar w/CD and a Dreamcast hooked up to play.

My Lynx is in a carrying case, but I haven't used it at all for a long time.

Boxed up I have a Genesis, XEGS, and an 800XL.

Basically it's Sega and Atari for me.

Odyssey Pong Unit (I forget which one it is)

Atari 2600

Atari 7800

Commodore 64 (Does this count?)

Sega Genesis

Sega CD

Playstation

Nintendo 64 (Someone tell me why I bought this thing? On top of that, I loaned out some games and the guy returned them...without boxes!)

Sega Dreamcast (Really nice system. Too bad it didn't get the attention)

Playstation 2

Xbox

The 2600 is currently hooked up to a TV upstairs with Kaboom! in it.

The Xbox gets the most use. Especially recently when EB decided to have a huge sale. I was getting some good quality games for 3 or 4 dollars. Used, yes...but it was kind of like when I was on the 2600 used cart binge. :)

The Dreamcast is out, but not hooked up.

The PS2 is hooked up, but rarely played. Last I messed with it was after Christmas. I had ordered some games for my Nephews and they didn't come in in time. So, I had to run to the store and purchase more and then kept the others once they finally arrived.

I would love to have a MAME Cabinet, but don't have the time/tools/patience/money to build one nor the money to purchase one. I've also considered the Xbox 360, but I don't see the huge increase for the price that's being charged right now.

Atari

2600, FB2, 7800, 800xl, 1024st

I had a 5200 and INT but sold them because I didn't enjoy playing them that much... I now regret it ofcoarse :(

My fav of coarse is the 7800 in which I play almost everyday. The ST never gets used.

The kids play all the Nintendo, Sony, Sega & MS consoles...
