hhwolfman
Heres what i found today...All for $25.00,not sure on rarities of these though, will check.Froggo-Spider Droid Froggo-Sea Hunt Parker Bros-Mr. Do's Castle Activision-Cosmic Commuter Coleco-Roc 'N Rope Activision-Ghost Busters Atari red label-Dark Chambers Mr. Do's Castle is tops in that lot at R8, easily worth more than $25 loose by itself. (I got mine for $2, though! ) Digitpress lists 2600 Mr Do's castle as worth $250!?!?!?, loose or boxed! They're all 2600 carts i forgot to add. They are listing it as $250 loose and perhaps on crack or made a mistake. EDIT: Otherwise, I guess THIS is a steal! Even THIS would be pretty good! Atari2600.com pays $24 - here is a link - LINK This is in NO WAY knocking your find, it's awesome...I'm just stating that DP may be a bit off here. Really man, Excellent Score, CONGRATS! Thanx,i had a feeling $250 must have been a mistake.I paid $10.00 for Mr Do's Castle, and got all the rest for $15.00 Mr. Do's Castle is around $30 to $50, with manual a bit more. Great fine. Jimmy Yakapucci
Plus we messed around with a Majesco Game Gear ($30 with games, case, and other goodies) and a TV Tuner ($50) at one of the game shops. The clerk managed to pull in audio from the OU game on Channel 9, but we never could get a picture on it. We tried it in a couple of model 1 and model 2 Game Gears. The Model 1's got audio only while the Model 2's refused to even turn on. If it's still around for a while, I may buy that particular TV tuner and try to get it going. The Game Gear TV tuner does not work with the Majesco model of GG. Also, come February, they won't work at all, unless there is some other antenna input so that you can use a converter box. That, of course, would defeat the whole "portable" thing. That is why I have passed up some TV tuners that I have seen recently. JY

vrocko
Don't know if it's really a thrift find, it cost me $50, but I did get a 2600 possible heavy sixer from a local Goodwill. Nice condition with about 12 games including Missile Command, Space Invaders, Adventure, Berzerk, Super Breakout, Zaxxon, Real Sports Football and Baseball, Encounter at L5, Yar's Revenge and a couple other commons I can't recall. It included two controllers, not the originals, the paddle controllers, switch box, power adapter all contained in one of the original plastic containers. You know the one with the simulated wood grain plastic base and the transparent smoke top. All items are in really good condition. I really only wanted Zaxxon, Encounter at L5, Missile Command and Adventure but when I saw what it was in and that it may be a heavy sixer I bought the whole thing. I was also in Cleveland, OH a weekend or two ago and went to a retro video game store I know of on the west side. I picked up Atlantis, Cosmic Ark and Demon Attack for $.75 a piece. All three of them worked great too. Not too much else lately, a set of original NES controllers I found for $.50 and a Gold NES Legend of Zelda cart for $2. No box or anything for that one just the cart and plastic case. Don't know if they work as I have no NES to test them but I am actively looking for one. That's all! Rich P.S. Almost forgot I picked up 1080 and Fogotten Kingdoms for the GC at Gamestop for $5 a piece. 1080 is fun, Forgotten Kingdoms is ok but I'm not much for the card game part of it. candiru
Haven't been thrifting in a good long while. I guess I was due! I couldn't find the rest of the other attachments though. Most unfortunately no dogbone controller. Ah well I can't complain too much to get a NES toploader for $4.65. It's a filthy old thing, but isn't scuffed, scratched, or discolored at all. Just needs a good scrubbin'. Fired right up too. I also picked up a gray NES gun for $1.65 that was with it. I only had the silly looking orange one up till now. Am I right in thinking that the toploaders originally came with the orange guns since they were later releases?
