Wait Mike is a website now? lol why would I close the site now (while we are making a new one in a mock server) when there is a ton of sellers with a good amount of listings live? I've been contacted by sellers with concerns about losing listings etc because they put a lot of work on adding it to the website. You both are not using the site are you? So I am you guys are the least of my concerns for now. In regards of the patreon page, I've already requested Patreon to cancel it, Idk why is still up. A message were posted to the patreons about what was going on and what was going to happen to them. Should I come and ask you guys permission to talk to other people being affected about this? I acquired the website along the RETRO video Game magazine at a fire asset sale from the previous owner. I am barely officially reaching out to all members as I had to validate all the membership emails that were active. I'd like to talk about the future and my plans for the website. First off, I'd like to let all the premium/unlimited members of the website know that your account will be grandfathered. You will keep the benefits you have with the account you paid to the previous administration. There will be new features on the site which you will be welcome to upgrade to once they are rolled out. The site will be running as it is for a while; we plan to re-make the auction website from scratch using Django. The current system is licensed and not proprietary; that, and it being about 1999 technology were the reasons that made me decide to re-make it from scratch. Again, the Gamegavel.com site will run as is and will work with the current website features. We didnt buy game gavel llc. That business probably is or is going bankrupt and are liquidating assets to pay creditors etc. So we are not responsible for lifetime memberships. The site will be built again from the ground up, the only thing that will stay the same is the domain, name and logo, social media accounts. yet you have the contact membership list, and you said you had no admin access to the old site though it plans on being up "for some very long time". so the old site stays up, though no admin rights, etc.? Yet you email blasted everyone. 1.- Admin Access was given by old (and current) webmaster (although I don't recall saying I didn't have admin access?). 2.- Email list was dumped by doing a member site database dump + email validation 3.- How am I supposed to communicate with 9500+ people? Call their moms and leave a message? Please pm me your email address so I can unsubscribe you =D. Also, the quote you made was like the 3rd post, since then decisions have been made about grandfather memberships. But Hey lets concentrate in the negative irrelevant stuff! You have no list as it is part of the "bankruptcy", then you have a dump of all of the members. Though that would be considered an asset in a bankruptcy. Including the domain, the site itself, etc. I find it weird to state all the wondrous things you're going to do and then in the same sentence write this "However it will take a long time for us to roll out the update (we are only 2 guys!). " All the while pimping other projects in the same spam message? Kickstarter... They whole thing seems like a infomercial. And yes, please remove me. I wish I would have been in my current position when 3DO and Acclaim went burst, but for now I only got this. Anyways, yeah pm me your email no hard feelings. If I ever get around to actually selling stuff I will give it a go, to this day the one and only thing I have sold online was through GameGavel lol. I admit I am still a little scared of Ebay, huge exposure there perhaps but so many horror stories with sellers and fees, not sure the niche I might sell need to be on Ebay instead of HERE or Gamegavel first. I appreciate that you grandfathered unlimited accounts so I am willing to give it another shot - THANKS.
