I can't promise anything as I'm working on 4 games at the moment !

Maybe I can squeeze in some more enemies the next days..

Does the specs remain the same ??   8x32 in 3 colors   ??

Some time ago there was mention for more colors, if I'm not mistaken..

It's the ROM posted.  The header is set for both POKEY and ROM @4000.  The result is, if you play without the XM or Xboard module attach, all graphics are present, but there is no sound. 

If you play with the XM module attached you have POKEY sound, but missing graphics.  

 

Try this one.  POKEY is designated to be @450.  Play without the XM or Xboard module attach.  All graphics present plus POKEY sound. 

However, if you play with the XM or Xboard attach you'll still end up with missing graphics.

again.....i can use the house...like in the actual demo...i cannot change colours.....for the moment.

This house would be much too big......the other 

one was better.....

Man why do I have a feeling I would LOVE to do some label and box art on this but then again Ive done so many Pac-Man art for Atariage plus I love Pac-Land so much I made a Pac-Man movie fanfic story art on it.

 

Back in 2013 I drew a full Pac-Land story but in a classic 1930s Black & White toon style I still have these in full color if you like any of them for manual and create a full box art for it.

I hear you man.. I love this game too !

I'm currently working on a full spritesheet (8x32, 3 colors, 2 frames of animation) !!

you can check a work in progress:

some thoughts:

Maybe it's pointless to draw dozens of ghosts in plane/car/pogo stick/ufo,..  I don't know the capabilities of the engine.. buut I drew them all anyway  :)

I just wish we could attract a coder to join the project ! @PacManPlus  nudge-nudge

at this point we can have a vague likeness of Pacland, but the game plays nothing like it..

 

If we are going to put-in some serious work, I want the end result to do justice to our effort..  but this is just me, I'm peculiar like that  ;)

 

Rock on ?

Humble two cents here...for whatever graphics are being done for Pac-Land, as TIX beautifully provided above, it needs to have a black outline.

 

If not a black outline, then a color one.

 

When either the entire or the majority of a sprite or other objects (I.E. Trees, Homes) has no outline, it often appear very flat and bland in-game against a colored background.

good news

i found out,how to change the colours of the house.

You are welcome to create another house,but

please in the size of the small house in this picture,which i used in the game.

I will post another version with the right colours 

soon.

Ok! Here is a second house, both in full resolution as I drew it, and then reduced down to 48x32 at 72dpi.  (Along with a screenshot enlarged to show detail).

 

Let me know if I can deliver these in sections in order to avoid them being "squished" vertically!

Yeah, I couldn't agree more with this. I looked back on some of the BEAUTIFUL Pac Man animations at the start of this thread, several only 8 frames, and think that's the way to go to show off what the 7800 could do. Look at the animation in RIKKI & VIKKI and you can see that the system is capable of gorgeous animation.

I realize the Bentley editor has animation limitations, (2 frames), but can't help but wonder if there is another way create this game from the ground up. I would be on board to create backgrounds, as well as anything else that might help.

But to you your point, yes it looks like we'd need a coder to help out.

Hi Tix

these enemies look great...i will add some 

of them in the game..For sure,we will

not get Pacland,cause i am no coder.

and the editor is limited...but i learn

every day,how to use it better.

But we will get a nice Jumpnrun in

the Pacland Universe.....i could need

a boss enemy.....any idea????

Cause we make a Pacland fangame,

the boss enemy can be.......show me your

ideas ?
