42bs
Inspired for the request of a 256 byte Atari ST demo/intro, I thought about to make such for the Lynx. But the limit is not 256 but 248 bytes which is the maximum size of the encrypted header. My first attempt is a "plasma" effect. Only 1 byte left. https://github.com/42Bastian/lynx_hacking/tree/master/248b Both the .o and the .lnx file work on a real Lynx and on Handy. Press a button for a funny side effect Have fun and stay well. 6
+karri
Wow! Pretty cool demo for getting it all in a boot sector.
Turbo Laser Lynx
Nice, fun stuff! I love this kind of thing, I can really see the appeal. Another fun thing I've run into is when people write small games for old systems in 10 rows of basic. I can imagine one wouldn't get bored by the size of the project at least! LordKraken
I don't have the ASM skills to participate, unfortunately, but I love the concept (and thx for the source, it was nice to see how you precalculate your color table).

At max 248 instructions with 70 to choose from Ok, if I remember correctly: 248!/70! possibilities.
42bs
Update: plasma2 with sprites and double resolution. No free space and ugly hacks ? https://github.com/42Bastian/lynx_hacking/tree/master/248b/plasma2 *Arg* Does not work from Flash if the Lynx is powered off for a longer time. :.( Edit: Ok, it was hard but now it works. 42bs
Two new demos using SUZY math. Still fighting to get something nice in 128 bytes (Outline Online 2020 demo party rulez).

Cyprian
they would fit nicely a 256 bytes category there is a list for XL and VCS: http://www.pouet.net/prodlist.php?type[]=256b&platform[]=Atari+VCS&platform[]=Atari+XL%2FXE&page=1 and there is no any record for Lynx yet. 42bs
Outline 2020 entries uploaded. So proud what I could do in 128b but then I saw what you can do on RasPi or PC in 128b Hard to believe they really make a tunnel in 128b w/o any additional library. Cyprian
congrats @42bs regarding PC and RPI . Are those productions baremetal? If no IMO it is fake 128b, because they (I guess) use huge gfx external libraries

I looked into the sources of the RasPi 128b demo. They do system calls. But I did not yet fully understand the code. No matter, they have floating point and no need to do a setup. With 4 bytes they can write 60 bytes at a time. Quiet unfair. Good I did not know it before hand ? BTW: Out call to everyone here: Archive your stuff on demozoo.org! There are only a few Lynx productions and a good part is from BLL.

I know, that your IRQ test is listed there and elsewhere ... no idea why

At least a central point to search them. And if in doubt, one can always ask the webmaster.
