As for newer systems, this week I downloaded a version of Pooyan which runs on Windows. The gameplay has got significantly altered though.. the sprits look different, and you steer your character with the mouse(!!), which sadly jumps back to a medium position if you hit the upper or lower end. The gameplay also has been simplified... the enemies throw LOTS of nuts, but you can shoot at a faster rate than in the original version. There are only the two basic rounds through... after round 2 it immediately jumps back to round 1 (but retaining the score). I've been upgrading and tuning a replica of my own Volkswagen Golf from the 90s, moving it up through the performance classes and then testing it out in various road and street races. Fun stuff.
