Items for Atari 2600 manufactured in Brazil

These games are really something to behold. I was a hardcore 2600 collector several years ago, but never knew there was so much from Brazil. I'm amazed at these 11 pages of games I've never seen. Or, have I...

I wonder if any of you guys share the same feeling I've had while scrolling though these pictures from our friend Sr Ferraz...

Call me loony, but I feel as though I've seen these games in my 'atari dreams'. You know the ones: you find a box of atari games, but they don't look like any games you've ever seen. They have names and labels you've never seen before. Usually, I don't have money to buy these games, or the person isn't willing to part with them. Either way, I never can acquire them in my dreams and wake up wondering if they exist. (Freud?)

Enough nonsense from me.

Congratulations on your impressive collection, Sr Ferraz. Thank you for the high quality scans.

Believe me you aren't the only one. Sr.Ferraz has opened a Pandora's Box into the Atari world and just when you think he has shown you all that Brazil has to offer he conjures up more and more delights to tantalise us. Welcome to AtariAge Gameselect. Sit back and enjoy the ride for believe me you haven't seen anything yet ;)

I'm not kidding.

By comparing model numbers and lists, I can confirm that there are at least 1000 brazilian titles waiting to be added.

Frickin Hell :x Man this is just too insane to be true! This is one of the reasons I stopped collecting for there just isn't enough time in the world to gain a complete collection. I will leave it to truly dedicated fans such as youself to discover the full list. My hat once again goes off to you Rom, the true defender of the faith ;)

Dear friend gameselect,

Thank you for your fine words, I'm happy that you likes them information and images that I place here.

Welcome to AtariAge !

Dear friend Rom,

I don't know which the model numbers of the cartridges from Rentacom, I won only one auction from seller.

I believe that the manufacturer "Digivision" has manufactured the game River Raid IV, I only started to 'write down' the name of the games when I placed this topic. I see some auctions here in Brazil for this.

"Motocross" is the same game, this manufacturer (Digitel) modified the name of the games in the carts.

## I added the cartridge with games Centipede/Galaxian (2 in 1) from Rentacom manufacturer. (page 1)

Dear friend Foxsolo2000,

Really must have many names of games to add, I go to place more manufacturers of carts and each one made some games.

We don't have as to know how many different games each company manufactured. (they are many games)

My friend Rom is always searching new games, audaciously going where no collector (nobody) never was... (Star Trek)

Below I placed a Brazilian cartridge manufactured especially for Rom ('1000 Super Games' or '1.000 in 1').

Still they are few games... :D

Excellent Sunday for all !

Sr.Ferraz I truoly appreciate all the aid you are showing us. It is incredibly interesting but at the same time I have given up collecting for the simple reason that I would require a warehouse just to store every game out there :D It is stunning to think that such a humble system boasted so many manufacturers. It is certainly something that we will never see again for any other system ;)

Dear Foxsolo2000,

The 'amount' of items that had been manufactured for Atari 2600 really is 'impressive' (and for as many companies in the world).

Company "VGS" also manufactured a model of 'Supercharger', the name is "Game Charger".

The 'functioning' is the same of the others, it 'loads' the recorded game in the tape k7.

It's very rare to find, does not have no information or image about it in Internet. (until this moment)

The images are courtesy of a great Brazilian friend.

It's not compatible with the 'Supercharger by Canal 3' and 'Copy Game' (information of my friend).

Frontal labels in the boxes of the tape k7 are equal, only the name of the game in the lateral (side) is different.

The manuals (instructions) of the games are simple papers separately.

I placed images of the three 'devices' for 'comparison'.

Images from TV:

1 - 'VGS' and 'Game Charger'.

2 - 'Ligue o gravador' (Power ON the tape recorder and press PLAY)

3 - Some images during the load ('reading' from tape k7)

4 - Game (in image the game is 'Hero' --- "VGS - Br")

When a problem occurs during the 'reading' of the tape k7 appears in the TV: "Erro - Recomece" (Error - 'Restarts' or 'starts again').

I placed below labels of the boxes from tapes k7, later I go to place the images of tapes k7 and manuals (instructions).

# Games:

> Pac Man / Robot Tank (one game in each side of tape k7)

> Moon Patrol / Smurf

> Tenis / Zaxxon

> Enduro / River Raid

> Aprendiz de Feiticeiro (Sorcerer's Apprentice)

> Artilery Duel

> Decatlon

> Fathon

> Front Line

> H.E.R.O. (R. Hero's)

> Motocross

> Pooyan

> Space Shuttle

> Time Pilot

Excellent week !

Dear friend Foxsolo2000,

Also I believe that the Supercharger manufactured from 'Digitel' with name "Digigame K7" exists (see ads in page 3). I cannot confirm because these items are rare to find.

If I to find information about it I will place here.

Below I placed images from k7 tapes of the "Game Charger" by VGS.

All the tapes are originals, some have simple small label (typewriter).

Ferraz has some amazing stuff, I did like very much those superchargers shots!

BTW, I just put a Splice for sale or trade, here: http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=89362 . Maybe someone wanna check this out.

I have a suggestion to make... hope I'm not getting too pretentious... Is it possible or of AA interest to create a subforum for Braz Stuff under Atari 2600 forum?

I explain the reason... there's simply too much stuff here to go under the same thread. I have some contributions to make, of course. But suppose I wanna post shots or scans froms something Mr. Ferraz posted on the 1st page. It would become very confusing. If we could just post separately for each manufacturer, etc, it would be much more organized and productive. For everyone interested.

Well, that's just my two cents. Regards,

Dear friend ResOGlas,

I'm happy that you has appreciated, it's a pleasure to inform for all the community about items manufactured here for Atari 2600.

Some manufacturers also placed different names in the carts. (name of game)

Thanks for your interest !

Dear friend TomBrazil,

Thanks, really all these Superchargers are very interesting.

I placed here in one previous post two games for the Supercharger by Splice (Comp-k7) that you 'placed' for sale.

Below I place again link for download:

http://www.4shared.com/dir/459714/4b61f076/sharing.html

It has programs of games for the 'Comp-k7', 'Supercharger by Canal 3' and some Brazilian musics.

Click in "Atari-MP3" to see the games for download.

I don't know if would have success to create one subforum, I have little 'aid' from the great collectors that has items manufactured in Brazil.

Thanks for your interest.

### I added some images, scans and name of games from the following manufacturers:

Tiger Vision (page 1), J.F. & Zirok (page 3), Star Game (page 4), Joystik, Play Video & Auto Game (page 6), Imagic (page 7), JVP (page 8 ), Demon Video & Video Jogo (page 9), Digimax (page 10) and Digitel (page 11).

I'm working in the images of manuals (instructions) from Supercharger by VGS ('Game Charger'). Everything for one better visualization.

*** Another interesting cartridge is with name: "Game" - TV Computer System.

Plus one in the list Rom... :)

Games:

> Combat (or 'Combate')

> Space Invaders

My friend sent me plus another scan with one of k7 tapes from "Copy Game".(page 10)

It came with two common k7 tapes (I & II) with 80 games in each. (when bought new)

The tapes are from Basf manufacturer (Made in Brazil). It does not have special label from Copy Game.

The box of it was simple (see in the photo below), it does not have nothing written.

I placed the image of it complete.

I added below scan of a rare 'ads' from "Copy Game". It was 'distributed' in store of items for video games. (sale, rent or use)

It's a simple paper, a side has information about it (and manufacturer) and in the other the list of the games from k7 tapes (160 original games of it).

Some images are courtesy of my great friend Ronaldo. (thanks again !)

Excellent Sunday !

neonesmaster,

It's great to see those scans, but unfortunately they are of no use if we can't see their end labels.

Also, try to keep the non-brazilians out of this topic.

I see some Quelle, HES, Activision, Dynamics and Video Gems carts that -although quite rare- are not needed here.

If you can show me the titles of the brazilian carts, I can add them to the database.

I'm very interested in the titles of those Teen cartridges.

Thanks in advance!
