Rom Hunter
This is a message to all Atari 2600 PAL cart collectors out there: Atarimania is looking for good quality box (back and front) and cart (front) scans for the Taiwan section of its Atari 2600 game database: http://www.atarimania.com/accueil_2600-MENU-2.html If you own any of the game titles mentioned below and are in the position to make a good scan of it, please do. This way we can enrich the Taiwan section of the Atari 2600 game database with nice pictures and preserve a very interesting piece of Atari 2600 video game history for the future. Please don't waste your time by informing us how hard it is to find a certain PAL game. We already know that. We're not asking you to find a certain game. We're only asking you to scan it if you own it. Thanks in advance! Now let's get this steamroller moving... Rom Hunter
Ok, let's do this step by step. Here's the Taiwan Cooper Black section: http://www.atarimania.com/lst_soft-MENU-2-...UR_ID-2417.html These Taiwan Cooper Black titles are still missing (proper) scans: Air Wolf Beany Bopper Bermuda Boom Bang Cobra 104 Demond Attack E.T Go Home Enduro Frog Man Grand Prix Karate Little Bear Paris Attack Pyramid War Ski Hunt Space Tunnel Super Man Tonkky Kon Tooth Brush Who owns one of these? dwh
I know this info can get confusing, with that in mind, could you somehow put on the website which of these games are 'original' and which are just 'pirates/rip-offs'.
Rom Hunter
The Taiwan Cooper Black titles are all rip-offs, if that's what you mean. If you're talking about highlighting the original version of a game on the Atarimania site, that's another story. It will be done in the future. Foxsolo2000
Rom your best chance to get scans of these games is to go on the German Ebay site for several of the games listed have appeared there over the years. I have seen most of the carts but it never occured to me to actually get the pics of them
Rom Hunter
Fox, I'm not talking about crappy Ebay pictures here. I'm talking about quality scans. Boom Bang, Enduro, Frog Man, Grand Prix, Paris Attack and Super Man done. Titles left: Air Wolf Beany Bopper Bermuda Cobra 104 Demond Attack E.T Go Home Karate Little Bear Pyramid War Ski Hunt Space Tunnel Tonkky Kon Tooth Brush Edited March 20, 2006 by Rom Hunter
Foxsolo2000
Sometimes Rom you may find that you have little in the way of actual choice in what you get
Rom Hunter
When you're talking about obscure Thai or Turkish Atari 2600 cartridges, I agree. But not when it's about standard Taiwanese Cooper Black boxes.
Spirantho
But not when it's about standard Taiwanese Cooper Black boxes. Come back and say that in a few years when you're still looking for them! Taiwan games aren't all as common as you think, and when you're trying to get them boxed.... well, good luck.

So what you're actually saying is that you don't own these titles boxed.

Edit: BTW are you after scans of the double packs like Mr. T/My Way? I can help with some of them. Foxsolo2000
Very Nice. I wasn't even aware of a Cross Force like the one you have. Is it the same game as Spectravision?

Rom Hunter
BTW are you after scans of the double packs like Mr. T/My Way? I can help with some of them. Would be great, Spirantho. Spirantho
What dpi do you want them at? Front and back only, or scans of the carts as well?

Rom Hunter
@Romhunter I own these boxed: Air Wolf Cobra 104 scans will follow tonight - also Spirantho will get the Spider-Man box scanned Excellent. Thanks, AtariBuff. Spirantho, We need a scan of the box front, a scan of the cart front and a scan of the back of the box. No end label or box side scans are needed. Here's an example: http://www.atarimania.com/detail_soft.php?...VERSION_ID=7424 Scans should be 600 pixels wide. Usually 150dpi are absolutely sufficient, but sometimes (as with tape inlays) you need 200dpi in order to get piccies that are 600 pixels wide.
