Ghost buster.
So I worked some more on Pac-Line. I fell asleep at about 3 or 4 a.m. unexpectedly and woke up at about 1 p.m. And then I went to work some more on it. I added the score and a ghost. I changed my lightbulb and tested version 4a on my Odyssey 2 and it works just fine. So now I will stop for a few days because I've been working on this a lot. I'll go back to working on some other project I have going on since I have way too many at the moment.
I've reached the half-way point in space, but I think (if the computer cooperates with me) I'll be able to fit this game in. After all this time I still haven't made a 4k game. Everything I make has to fit in banks of 2k. For example, each level in Jack and the Beanstalk is 2k. But when I put it all together it's a total of 8k.
So when I resume work on this, the things I need to do are:
- adding the power pellet
-
making the ghost be edible
- change the color of the ghost to blue when he is edible
- make him flash when the timer is near done
- make only his eyes appear and move to the side when he gets eaten
- make him be red again if power pellet wears off before he's eaten
If you're a video game maker, it sometimes feels like video game work of any kind will never end, unless you want it to.
