Check this one out,

school girl won Ocean City Defender for $9.99 then added it with another game,

jacked up the price to $298 and to top it off even used the same picture from the Ocean City Defender auction she won.

Unfortunately this happens more and more lately. I've got my own opinions of the practice but I'm just too tired to complain about it anymore. Moving on....

Don't even bother complaining about it, there are a handful of people here who keep defending this leach on the community and are perfectly happy to get ripped off by him/her. Personally, I think this type of lazy Ebay auction flipping does incredible harm to all collectors, but I have resigned myself to the fact that I am probably in the minority in that belief.

Really... how do these people actually sell anything and get a fairly positive feedback rating? Surely no one out there is that dumb....

I looked through all of this seller's auctions and he (or she) has quite a few graded games, and everything seems way overpriced (graded and otherwise). Here's his highest dollar auction:

eBay Auction -- Item Number: 1509891657001?ff3=2&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&camp

And that isn't even graded! I bet it'd be worth twice that if he had it graded.. :ponder:

Hey Al isn't this one of your reproductions?

I can't believe the seller didn't put that in the auction.

It sold for $600.00?

Who was the buyer? Maybe they'd like to buy a bridge?

Ugh, that makes me sick. Yes, I made that cartridge, probably some time ago. I hate eBay sometimes.

The seller may not have known it was a repro..but why doesn't it say on the label that it is a repro ?

Not every repro label I've made says "Reproduction" on it. I'm more inclined to do that now, given how often people will list repros on eBay as "RARE!!ZOMG!!!1!" games, but back when I made these carts, this wasn't nearly as much of an issue.

Finally got a negative from an unhappy buyer as well, although I can't quite make sense of the buyer's comment:

Here's one for a VIC-20: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 1510169030411?ff3=2&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&item=151016903041&mpt=[CACHEBUSTER]

I dont know of the box it is in is the right box because it says commadore 64. I am not a vintage computing expert.

So... the manuals says VIC-20, the computer says VIC-20, the power supply says VIC-20, and the box says Commodore 64... but that's not enough to figure anything out.

Even though the C64 is pictured on the box, and it doesn't match the color or labeling of the VIC-20, that's still not enough to figure anything out.

A web search for "vic 20" followed by a second web search for "commodore 64" would take less than a minute and show that the computer is in the wrong box... but that's too complicated as well.

WTH, why not start it at a $10 auction with $30 shipping?

:D
