vrocko
Couldn't post during the weekend and I finally have the time now. On Saturday my oldest son and I went to quite a few garage sales and came up with some nice items. $2 each Insector X - Genesis Gauntlet IV - Genesis Galaxy Force II - Genesis Command & Conquer - N64 Warhammer: Dark Omen CIB - PSX Darklight Conflict CIB - PSX Heart Of Darkness CIB - PSX Original Dreamcast controller $1 each Evolution - Dreamcast Dreamcast VMU (needs batteries) Dreamcast rumble unit Overblood CIB - PSX Intellivision Classics CIB - PSX Tomb Raider CIB - PSX Blaster Master (brand new and unopened!) - PSX The Next Tetris (brand new and unopened!) - PSX 75 cents each Axis & Allies - PC Risk - PC Passed on a 5200 in the original box with 20 games and tracball. He only wanted $30 for it, but I'm not a 5200 fan and just decided to leave it for someone else. Hey MCHufnagel, quite a find! Passed on a 5200 with 20 games and trackball all for $30! Ah nuts. Wish you would have picked it up I'd have bought it off you or traded for it. Oh well, I'm sure some collector picked it up, at least I hope they did. Quite a haul none the less. Where are you guys finding all this good stuff!! Must be too many collectors in Ohio. Rich
vrocko
Went out last weekend garage sale hunting in Mineral Ridge, OH, they have a big garage sale day 30 homes in all, and found a few items. Sega Genesis Starflight CIB $1 NHLPA Hockey '93 CIB $1 Summer Challenge CIB $1 Plug and Play Atari 10 in 1 $3 System 6 Anti-Virus $3 Also saw but didn't get: Original Nintendo Gameboy - the one that looks like a brick $10 Gameboy Pocket (no battery cover) + Scooby Doo and Harry Potter $10 Sega Genesis with all connections and 2 controllers $8 (already have 2) 2 Sega Genesis controllers and Madden '95 $6 Also went to the local Goodwill and picked up: Plug and Play 15 in 1 system for a DVD player $4 Turbo Touch 360 SNES controller $3 (I've seen ads for it back in the '90's, there's not a cross for the control pad but just a flat pad you run your fingers around. Thought it was a cool idea but never got to try it.) That's it for now. Hope to get to some sales this weekend. I'll let you know. Bruce Tomlin
picked up an complete boxed atari 2600 and O2 both with some boxed games for 40$ (craigslist) lost an hour of sleep but well worth it. Rick That reminds me. Last month I saw an O^2 with box at the Thrift Town in San Antonio for $40 (or was it $50?), and three boxed common/uncommon games separately priced in the other display case. When I went back a few days later it was gone.

SpendTooMuchOnAtari
I know, these are all not necessarily "thrift finds" but many are in addition to yard sales and the like. Here are some of my recent finds and what happened to them: Super Mario Land 1 (Original Gameboy) in absolutely amazing, complete condition with everything it originally came with and the box is super-nice...I couldn't believe it! $8 (KEEP) Ms. Pac-Man (Original Gameboy) also in excellent condition with a nice box and all paperwork but it didn't have the little tray that holds the cart, still quite nice! $6 (KEEP) Barbie Horse Adventures Wild Horse Rescue (XBOX) complete and very nice but this one's not for me as I don't own an XBOX so cost was $3, sold it on ebay for $25 Indiana Jones and the Emporer's Tomb (PC) in nice complete condition and again, not for me but cost was $2.50, sold it on ebay for $20.50 Indiana Jones and the Emporer's Tomb (XBOX) complete and very nice but again, no XBOX for me so cost was $12, sold it on ebay for $30 Animal Crossing: Wild World Strategy Guide (DS) in nice used condition and since I already have one of my own (otherwise I would have kept it), cost was $6, sold it on ebay for $30 The Legend Of Zelda Collector's Edition (Game Cube) in nice complete condition and since I already have one of my own (otherwise I would definately have kept this), cost $8, sold it on ebay for $35 Kid Icarus (Original Gameboy) cart only in nice shape and I don't collect cart only games so, cost was $1, sold on ebay for $10 Clubhouse Games (DS) cart only in nice shape and I already have it so cost was $15, sold on ebay for $40 Pokemon Fire Red (Gameboy Advance) Extremely Nice, Complete Condition with all paperwork and box very nice! $7 (KEEP) - 8-year-old loves it! Flash Focus (DS) very nice, complete condition and I have been wanting to get this and almost just went out and paid the retail 20 bucks but held out and found one for $9 (KEEP) Monster Jam (DS) in nice complete condition and bought off ebay for $11 shipped (KEEP) Monster Jam: Maximum Destruction (PS2) in nice shape but I did replace the case because I found this one at game crazy, I think it was $7.19 with my membership card thing (KEEP) - my 8-year-old loves it! Super Bust A Move (PS2) in nice shape but again, I replaced the cover because it was from game crazy and had ugly stickers all over it - I got this one because you don't see it very often and it's the CREEPIEST looking PS2 cover I have come across, it was like $7 with my card (KEEP) True Swing Golf NOT FOR RESALE (DS) from NA member $?? shipped (KEEP) I can't think of what else I picked up but I know there are few DS games I'm not thinking of. Oh! I did get a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Red Rescue Team NOT FOR RESALE cart off ebay for about $14 shipped (DEFINATELY KEEP!)
