SEgamer
For $20 = Randomly found an Atari 1040ST computer at a local Goodwill with an old Panasonic KX-P1124 printer that probably weighs 15 lbs. Also came with an Epyx 500XJ Joystick which is now my favorite Atari controller. Now all I need are some old floppies and midi equipment. vrocko
Went to the local Salvation Army the other day and found 2 original NES controllers. No NES though. Also saw 2 HP printers, one that is exactly like mine at home (somebody trying to tell me something?), a Lexmark printer and a bunch of 5 1/4" floppy's. The two controllers were $2, but that's all I bought. Anyone still use 5 1/4" floppy's? I've seen a bunch of them lately in my travels and can pick them up for cheap. Also stopped at the local Goodwill and found Armored Core Master of the Arena for the PS1, $3. I think it's one of the last Armored Core games I need. RickHarrisMaine
I found a dollar on the ground at Goodwill last night.... there were some XBox sports games there, and also what appeared to be a piece of PS2 shovelware, "breeder's cup horse racing", which I didn't bother with. I looked through the manual, and you couldn't shoot or otherwise turn the horse into dog food if you lost, so what fun is that? kidding....... vrocko
Well hit the Goodwill today to see what they had. Got a copy of Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt and Yoshi's Cookie for the NES. No manuals or box but did have the plastic covers for both. Look to be in good condition. I'll have to try to them out. Hope they work. SpendTooMuchOnAtari
I came across these this last Tuesday at a local thrift and haven't been around much to post my finds. While a few are keepers, most are for resale to fund my DS addiction. Anyway, here you go: All GBA carts were $3.99 each The GBC cart was $3.99 The DS games were $8.99 each (both in very nice, complete condition) The Original Sony-Brand PS2 Memory Card was $6.99 The Pokemon's have been doing well considering what I paid for them so fairly nice score. I actually thought the PS2 memory card was worth getting to resell on ebay but it was not to be (I guess I'm "out of the loop" on some things. I traded in at a different store and got trade there roughly what I paid so no big deal. The DS games were bought for my own collection so the price was not a big deal. Most GBA carts have sold on ePay already! Edited June 14, 2008 by SpendTooMuchOnAtari
shadow460
Came across Tomb Raider and Die Hard Arcade for the Saturn, priced at $15 and $30 respectively. I didn't care to spend that much, and the pawnbroker isn't that pleasant to deal with. The same shop had some other games, so I picked up these: Mortal Kombat II for Game Boy for $7. It was covered in sticky gunk. It cleaned up very nicely with a cocktail of chemicals (hmmm, what's that odd smell?) Raid 2020 from Color Dreams for the NES was $6. It, too had some gunk, the case is discolored, but it cleaned up and works until you push it down into the NES. Next find was at a thrift I hardly ever go into. 2600 games were $1 each. I got: River Raid Gangster Alley Spacechase (not monogrammed) Co Co Nuts Gangster Alley and Spacechase are both in good condition and will be sold. My old Co Co Nuts and River Raid are in fair condition and they will also be sold. Finally, at the same shop, I got some Inty games for 75 cents each. Most are in great shape. Beauty and the Beast Dracula Dragonfire (with 1 overlay) Advanced Dungeouns and Dragons BurgerTime Horse Racing NFL Football NHL Hockey Las Vegas Poker & Blackjack Space Hawk (with one overlay) I got some loose overlays, too: Space Battle Space Spartans (2 of these) I don't have an Intellivision, and really I have zero interest in one. If an offer is good, I'll sell these off. Edited June 15, 2008 by shadow460

RickHarrisMaine
extremely rare find from the Portland, ME goodwill. I wonder if it's under new management or something because there were some videogame-related stuff there, at not laughable prices... some NES games I passed on, as I no longer have an NES did pick up a nice-looking Sega Nomad, battery pack, controller, and power supply for $9.99 though The screen brightness button/dial thingy has fallen off inside, so I can't adjust the screen, though the unit itself does seem to work. Big sucker too, they call this thing a portable??????
SRGilbert
Well, I had a nice flea market suprise today. At practically the first booth I came to, I saw a box on the ground with some boxed 2600 games. Then I saw the sign: "Box full of original Atari games w/boxes!! $50.00!" So yeah, I grabbed it. The funny thing is that I recognised them immediately as this guy had contacted me through Craigslist and offered them to me for $130, when I passed on them, he posted them on CL at $140 a week or so ago. Wasn't worth $130 to me, but $50? Sure why not! Turned out to be 42 games in all, and as far as I have checked, they all have the manuals too. Unfortunately, Star Raiders and Indy 500 were just the games, no controllers, but I already had them anyway. I'm most excited about HERO, as I'd been on the lookout forever, plus the box is just cool. Oh, and on a sad note, at another flea market, I saw a table that had 2 Wico Boss 2600 joysticks as well as a couple of CX-40's. I pick them up and saw that the cords had been completely CUT OFF! To add insult to injury, the 9-pin connectors were lying on the table next to them, but no cord attached! Really weird.....
