a8isa1
Clown and Balloons (advanced) - 103,050 Apparently the score rolls over at 100,000. At around 97K the game acted a little strange. The trampoline was very twitchy, the music slowed down, and the balloons stuttered once or twice. (This is on a real 800XL). I wasn't able to upload a video clip so here's a rip of the audio. cb_audio_bug.wav
Fres
Wow, looks like I've missed a lot. I will get some more scores posted soon. Nothing extraordinary, but I did have a really lucky round of Tilter: 17.8 (will post a pic later). Special thanks to Marius for the XL/XE version of Juggler. I was playing that emulated because I have the games on a my-ide cartridge, which is not compatible with a translator. Also, to Philsan and Deteacher. Thanks for the tips! I've had a stelladaptor for quite a while but never realized that you could do this with Altirra. It's also pretty cool how it was learned that the Wavy Navy (file) has problems. I have a file version that DOES include the author's name (not "cracked by") but does NOT include the shooting helicopters. Glad to know that the one I have is not complete either. Thanks, as always, TRBB (for running the show).

+therealbountybob
Clowns and Balloons Update: As the game doesn't get any harder anyone making 100k (rolling the counter) will be in joint top place (for advanced and the expert challenge)... I clocked it on advanced and then retired at 130K+. The main screen high score then shows the pre rollover score)... ... then I started on expert and the game had the 'surreal slow down' until the bonus clown at 10K where the processor's registers seemed to be cleared and it was ok again I'll recind the C&B scoring penalty (only affecting mr case) as without paddles the game isn't easier, especailly only having the emulator with a mouse

justin case
This evening I decided to re-visit breakout. In particular, Progressive. Not just because bluecat (Bob, who else do I know with a blue cat?) has just bitch-slapped my mediocre score into the last century: I always thought I could do a lot better, if only I wasn't so drunk when I played. Sadly (well, it is Friday evening!!) the drunk level hasn't decreased. From one gaming session to the next - I have (of course!) remained sober during the working week - I'm a Nuclear Fuel Rod replenishment operative: I thought I'd have trouble finding work when I moved from mother Russia, but apparently this is a specialist job - go figure, I always thought it was a good way to maintain a 'healthy glow', but no - I'm a skilled operative! Me & Igor are Specialists - the country depends on us doing a good job! Well, who am I to argue? And they say my Green Card isn't a problem, so I must be important. Anyway, the scores. You're all expecting big things, yes? Scores worthy of a God (or similar)? Well, there's been a bit of a problem there. I was doing really well - my Countrymen would have been proud (if it weren't for the incident) when all of a suddens the scoreboard had a fit, went bloody nutz for a few (brief, but thoroughly ego massaging) moments, during which I took my eye off the [last] ball for a fraction of second (Igor will tell you how unlucky this is) and blam, the cat keeps his / her whiskers. I was robbed. There should be stewards streaming in to tell me "It's okay, you can play that balls again - the programmerz got it wrong" But this is not the perfect world we haf all groan up believing it to be. Mistakes are made. You ask Igor!! Next time, Kitty.
