retroillucid
Great resource. Do you think the recent NIB Sunrise games sale changed the rarity of those five games? Everything always seems to be in a state of flux when it comes to these collectible items. The "yellow" Sunrise boxes have stayed pretty consistent and gradually increased in value over time, but the "silver" Sunrise boxes are a different story thanks to AtariAge member Ozma Wars. He has been selling off a supply of these silver boxed games (that he acquired years ago), so therefore they have become more easily available. I'm not sure what he has left, if any, after the joint effort by himself and Pixelboy earlier this year... so we'll just have to wait a little bit to see how the rarity is affected. I recently made a deal with Ozma Wars (Max) and I'll soon have some cases of those Sunrise games (Silver) So, if there's some people who want a set, contact me With that being the case: Sunrise "YELLOW" Box variations: R5 to R8 in rarity depending on the title Sunrise "SILVER" Box variations: R1 Just kidding, but with all the recent silver box variations that have become available, I would have to think the YELLOW box variations are more valuable and harder to come by. Funny thing is before Max did start talking and later selling them, the Yellow ones were alot more common that the Silver ones...... eh! that's was before Max spread them all over the world

ColecoDan
Did you guys see that Boxed Jungle Hunt that sold for 230.00!!! Yeah I figured since the last cart talked about on here went cheap on ebay, i would put a bid in to get this as a backup in case I needed it to coax someone out of a hard to find game that I needed. I should have known this one wouldn't go cheap but I just put a number that I was willing to pay since it was a backup, otherwise if I really needed it I would have won it. Missed that one but got the DragonFire for pretty cheap. Needed an extra copy since mine has sun or some kind of fading on the back.

RelliK111
Holy crap!! :-o :-o $220.50 for Tank War cart only! eBay Auction -- Item Number: 170734320479 NIAD has this game as a R7 unless this was the Bit Corp ver. witch is a R9. The cart says TeleGames on it so I'm pretty sure its the R7 ver. Does anyone have any Idea why this sold so high? Maybe if I had one of Pixelboys Tank War boxes I might be willing to pay $100.00 for it (maybe......but probably not) but a R7 cart only doesn't even seem like it shouldn't be more than $60 to $70 at the most and I think I'm still figuring high. A CIB Jungle Hunt went for almost the same price eBay Auction -- Item Number: 230696775027 And Penguin Land (homebrew) R9 a much much much more rare game eBay Auction -- Item Number: 290632271949 went for far less........crazy ebay auctions
Zwackery
Back in 2006/07, when the ripoff artists known as direct4games were blowing out the Telegames stock they had bulk purchased, Tank Wars was a CV title that could be had very cheaply (~£14.99). Unfortunately it was a title they decided to short me on (along with numerous other ones). It's now a rare cart and only comes up for auction infrequently. retroillucid
I don't think Tank Wars worth that much......otherwise a CIB Boulder Dash would worth twice as much
ColecoDan
Actually I hardly ever see Tank Wars come up for sale, so I understand the crazy bidding. Remember if things do not come around that often people get more desperate when it finally pops up. Tank Wars only came in that horrible clam shell so it is not really a CIB item even though I have that stupid clam shell. It really is an R7 they are hardly seen. I think Bit Corp titles should be changed to RU As in it is unrealistic to ever imagine that you will see one let alone afford one. I think the fact that the instructions were with it is what made people desperate because the few I have seen before I believe were cart only. I was lucky to get mine from private sale so didn't have to pay a ridiculous price. The penguin land even though it is hard to get was re-released by collectorvision with redesign and instructions and box so more people have the game and people are probably not as desperate to get it. I just bought it so that I could say I had the original one especially since I have the load runner one already by the same programmer so it is nice to have both. I thought I would get away with getting it cheaper but another completionist must have wanted it too.
ColecoDan
By the way forgot to mention the CIB jungle hunt was a pretty good deal and those usually can get up to and past $300 so that is a steal.
ColecoDan
I don't think Tank Wars worth that much......otherwise a CIB Boulder Dash would worth twice as much It is worth that much you just don't like telegames If we ever see a CIB Boulder Dash hit ebay especially with them saying tested and functioning game, I guarantee it will be like opcode prototypes and you will see it go for much higher than double a Tank Wars. Yeah I was thinking that these were weird as well, did they make Taiwan Cooper versions for every colecovision game or did someone create these all after the fact? I had only seen the basic ones for the main colecovision games not all these out of the ordinary ones. I am glad I don't care about collecting these otherwise I would be going crazy wondering what other Taiwan Cooper boxes existed that I didn't know about. RelliK111
Ya I like Taiwan Cooper games but I have never seen those and there weird with all the same box and cart art being the same. I wonder how much the tank war will go for ???

I thought so. I really didn't think I'd get it under $300, plus I ticked a CIB Galaxian off the list too. Pretty happy with both prices. NIAD
Holy crap!! :-o :-o $220.50 for Tank War cart only! eBay Auction -- Item Number: 170734320479 Not surprising to see this cart go for so much considering it is becoming harder and harder to come by and included the original instruction manual. I was expecting this one to top out at about $150, but when it comes to eBAY, you just never know. Also, when a collector is down to the last game or last couple games needed to complete a collection... it becomes a lot easier to justify spending more on an item, especially when you know another one might not turn up for years. It's also easy to tell yourself, what's another $20, $30 or $40 when I am already willing to spend $180! For every time you run across a "Buy It Now" and land TeleGames Skiing for $1.91 (prorated price for all the games bought), there's gonna be that other much sought after game that you are gonna have to pay the price to land... that's the way I justify things in my own mind. NIAD has this game as a R7 unless this was the Bit Corp ver. witch is a R9. To see examples of the other TeleGames releases from 1986, checkout PixelBoy's announcement thread of his pending game releases with the TeleGames giveaway. As was stated below by ColecoDan, all the Bit Corp. games that were released in Europe should probably be considered "RU" for Rarity Unrealistic and I couldn't even begin to imagine what an auction for one of them would end up going fo. One thing I've learned over the last couple years is how hard it is to complete a ColecoVision collection, whether it be a loose collection or god-forbid a CIB collection... especially when you include the TeleGames releases in this mix. I thought the same exact thing concerning the comparison to the price paid for Jungle Hunt CIB. Just goes to show what a great deal the winner of Jungle Hunt CIB got. I'd have to think these are bootlegs made in either Brazil or Venezuela using the Taiwan Cooper style... especially since they use the same boxart and cart label for all of them like other bootlegs that have been made in these countries.
