Colecovision Auction Watch

There's a beautiful boxed Colecovision on eBay right now, only 2 hours left at $67.55

If this system doesn't do over 100 dollars I'll be shocked, that's a steal. I'm really tempted to bid myself although I own a nice CIB system. Well anyways, Here's the link! :

you weren't necessarily outbid by a dollar he could have had his dollar amount set above 100 and it only has to bid a dollar above your high level to beat you. So don't beat yourself up too much.

I have seen numerous better condition systems and boxes sell for sometimes less and sometimes more. Just be patient, it will come and if you want to get the best possible deal, wait until the late spring and summer months.

Yeah true. I thought I saw something about auto bidding. The spring cleaning is always a good time to get stuff. Anyways I'm not worried about it, I have a nice CIB system, a lot nicer than that one, I just thought it was a good deal. IIRC, I paid about $80 for mine over 12 years ago. I need to watch my spending right now so I'm kind of glad I didn't win. I'm selling off some stuff at the moment, everything Except for ColecoVision (- a spare power supply) and NES.. ;-)

Thanks for the advice guys, that's what I'm doing. Some time this year I hope to get a nice CIB Roller Controller and also CIB Expansion Module 2 driving controller complete to go with the rest of my CIB hardware.

Cheers - Todd

Definately wait it out... Another will come around...

Your auction?

Very nice collection of white labels.

I'd sure like to hear what some of the experts have to say about his auction...! And check out some of the other ones...

The Activision prototype is well worth the 20 euros.

It looks kind of weird that the Q*bert Qubes is in an Activision case...

Ya I agree with you I don't think most of the case go with the games, they where most likely added at a later time, which also makes most of the labels not original either. There is just 2 of those carts that peek my interest ;). Interesting auction though thanks for sharing.

I would have to agree that TeleGames UK made these carts seeing as they liked to use the Activision cart shell/pcb. The value in this lot resides in the three unreleased prototype games (MASH, Yolks on You and Fall Guy) although not much because they are easy enough to get via other avenues, TeleGames Skiing and the BeamRider loaner cart.

Well, honestly, there is only once cart that is worth anything in this lot.

I put up another ColecoVision with internal power supply mod and composite output mod on eBay. I'm still cleaning out my basement!

I wish I had a few of those laying around, already modded in my basement! Wait a sec.. I don't even have a basement :-(

Holy cow, $304.93 dollars for all those weird games. I was bidding but gave up before that mark.. Hopefully there legit copies and not counterfeits. It's coming from overseas so who knows.. The eprom sampler cart in particular looks very interesting, definitely a nice proto. Everything was just too rich for my blood right now. :-(

I actually talked myself into not bidding on it as soon as the auction was listed because I just didn't think it was legit due to everything I heard over the years was that Bit Corp never officially released the game under their label as well as Strike It. The other concern was the only Bit Corp. ad I have seen shows the Tank Wars box being a dark blue and this box is green in color. So I was thinking a very good repro at best that was made well before any other repros of Bit Corp games were made by Retro.

The morning of the auction, I just couldn't bear the chance that this was a legit copy so I placed a very sizeable max bid. I think what changed my mind was that all the know legit CIBs of Bit Corp. games have come in a green colored box (with the exception of one Cosmic Crisis that came in a white clamshell) and figured that Bit must have switched to one main box color in a cost savings decision. The cart shell is definetly the one Bit used and then later TeleGames continued using, the manual being beige is a concern seeing as other Bit manuals use a white background. I'll be able to compare the cardstock quality of the box with the Cosmic Crisis box that I have, so that jury is still out until the game arrives.

Dan... I don't think you would have bid more than the max I put down, but I do realize that I saved A LOT of money by you not going after it as well.
