gorfcadet
I go back and forth between Forgotten Worlds and Captain America and the Avengers. Sega had the only home port of Cap worth playing and it was great! About once a month, I'll play career mode in Super Monaco GP.. I love getting the best car by race three. the.golden.ax
I just got a ton of games I'm aching to play (probably won't until the bills are covered) Xenon 2, Ranger X, and Atomic Runner.
Crazy Climber
Just got Double Dragon and Bubsy! Was your DD boxed? Thats a tougher one to find (accolade) now I find it also has a box variation...good thing I'm not a completionist Oh - MERCS for me right now in genesis-land

Mercs is awesome. That was one of my favorites back in the day. Lent it to a friend and it came back with a condition downgrade though. Crazy Climber
Yeah, MERCS is pretty good. I almost bought the arcade machine a while back Which DD did you get? (original or "classics")
the.golden.ax
Original DD. No video game classic boarder around it. Came with the little ad-cards and registration as well
Mijo562
I am still trying to beat boogerman, and Virtual Bart but i love these games even though i can't beat them. I can't get mad at them, they are just classics

31336haxx0r
I'm playing Urban Strike. Looking forward to buy Desert Strike and Jungle Strike, too. Those Las Vegas missions SUCK!
+Gemintronic
I'm playing Battle Master on an EyeClops Projector I have running on a battery pack with a battery powered Genesis in a Joystick. All off the grid. While zombies are eating faces and the power company is down I'll still be playing.
evilevoix
I just beat ranger x and currently playing Dynamite Headdy. I have shining force, no idea how to play it.
AtariLeaf
I've been playing Ultimate Qix and Space Invaders 91. Both are excellent.
+thegoldenband
I just beat Zoom (terrible) and Asterix and the Great Rescue (quite good though not for all tastes). I've been thinking about making another attempt on Super Hydlide (which I gave up on right before the end) or Star Odyssey (which erased all my saved games right before the end), but I'm not sure if I have the patience. madmax2069
Its a toss up between Street of Rage 2, Road Rash 2, Sonic 2, or Eternal Champions on the Genesis. Edited July 27, 2012 by madmax2069
Crazy Climber
Just popped in Thunderfox, almost put it back on the shelf permenantly after getting a little frusterated with the difficulty and lackluster controls...but I'm glad I stuck it out. Kind of like a 16-bit Rush 'n Attack, overall worth buying/playing
chuckwalla
Have had a hankering to play a full game of Star Control all week so i'm setting up my spare Model 1 Genesis in a few minutes. Then tonight, it's back to football night with some Tecmo Super Bowl (original) to start a new season playing as the NY Giants.

gorfcadet
Today is Streets of Rage and Virtua Racing. Still fun. I wish Sega would make a PSO style Streets of Rage, kind of a dungeon brawl style with drops like upgraded bats, knuckles, etc. A bar could be the central hub and four at a time could "quest." Seems obvious to me, but Sega likes to et old propertties fade away or come back completely half baked.
the.golden.ax
Just scored a Grind Stormer. Have regretted selling mine to a bloke from England pre-Christmas of '08 to buy the kiddies some toys. I got $30 in 2008, and just paid $32 to get it back, so not too shabby.

That Final Fight game for the XBox was kind of like that. Not online though, and IIRC the multiplayer is just a stripped down "arcade mode" sort of thing. I guess everybody hated that game and gave it really bad reviews, but I have no idea why, I liked it a lot.
Crazy Climber
I just beat Zoom (terrible) Terrible's a little harsh, I like to call it "different"
+thegoldenband
I just beat Zoom (terrible) Terrible's a little harsh, I like to call it "different" Maybe it is a bit harsh, but after playing through it twice and seeing no progression whatsoever (other than the fact that the second loop is a bit harder), the whole thing just felt painfully lazy and repetitive. One level of it is fine, but 72 of the same thing..."C'mon boy! C'mon boy! C'mon boy!" BTW to update, I beat Galaxy Force II yesterday. Actually, I beat it five times, steadily increasing the difficulty settings until it got up to Hard difficulty with a Weak shield and a Normal timer. I was barely able to beat it on that setting, and I have no idea how it'd be doable with a Hard timer unless you had an absolutely perfect run. In between sessions of that, I tried a couple of games for basically the first time. First I played Warrior of Rome a bit on my own, and then played Soldiers of Fortune (aka Chaos Engine) with my fiancée.
Crazy Climber
BTW to update, I beat Galaxy Force II yesterday. Now thats one I just can't get into, I wouldn't argue if you want to call GF2 terrible
+thegoldenband
I thought I was going to hate Galaxy Force II -- when I first tried it out I was very put off by it. But after a couple attempts, I got the hang of it and ended up enjoying it quite a bit (enough to beat it five times in two days!). It's got serious issues with sprite breakup, but otherwise it's totally playable and even fun. It reminds me of Marble Madness in a weird way, since at heart it's really a timer-based game. And like Marble Madness it's got some great FM tunes.
