zylon
trbb, why so many races this round? And will the best scores for each race/track get added to the all time records? You know I like to keep things interesting (and come up with new ways of confusing Scalak so I can catch him up... 20pts behind already ) Yes I will be adding the best scores from each version/race to the HSC records; this way we have more to go for next time we play, again makes it a bit more fun Suggestions always welcome [CLICK] [trbb turns shredder on] I wouldn't want to have to keep track (pun intended) of high scores for 8 races. Thanks again for all you do for this HSC! FYI - can we play the 5200 version of Pole Position? Thanks rr It's only 4 races (3 each) really as total scores count Sure if 5200 players want to join in... might need some guidance re the scoring from you and Lead Foot Zylon (Bug or Feature Zylon?!) Tables UPDATED 5200 scores the same as A8. It boils down to which controller the player would rather use, though analog offers more precise steering in this case. The 227 mph is found only on the A8 program so far. If I trigger the 211 and make it a full lap without hitting anything or leaving the track, sometimes the 227 will come up. +therealbountybob
NTSC Atari GP 2 laps 35,600 Malibu GP 2 laps 39,150 Namco Speedway 2 laps 38,750 remember the 1 and 2 lap series;' must be played in the default order - you can not start with the Atari GP - I'll asume this is just the order you posted them trbb, you keeping track of pole times for each track too? I counted 8 races. 3 one lapers, 3 two lapers, and two 8 lapers. Pole times not required - other times optional - score is all that in counts this round Can anyone top 227mph

roadrunner
I posted the scores in alphabetical order. No pole times? Your keeping track of scores for 16 races. 8 NTSC and 8 PAL 6 more pole scores 3 NTSC 3 PAL shouldn't set you back too much. +therealbountybob
I posted the scores in alphabetical order. I did better at Malibu 1 lap NTSC 27,950 27,950 looks like the best I can get on the M ver too ... just so were all playing by the same rulez - the 1 and 2 lap series are three goes in a row ending on the Atari GP each time; players can't replay just one of the tracks The Marius ver is a good challenge on PAL (you NTSC guys already have a tough challenge), getting Pole on the Atari GP now takes some doing; even a clean qualifying lap might not be enough. to Marius1976 (I'll send him a message to let him know were playing rr be interested in your thoughts re NTSC vs Marius; for Qualifying in pole etc; for me the NTSC ver is still way tougher to complete 8 lap race Improved on Pro Challenge (Atari GP, M Ver.) 107,900 454"96 (Pole) Tables UPDATED

roadrunner
The Marius version seems more difficult. roadrunner
@trbb, for the 8 lap ham and egger challenge, we can only race one version not all 3? And we can race all 3 versions for everything else? edit- nevermind i'm not in the ham in egger challenge, but is there a track record for the PAL Malibu GP 8 lap race? If not quite a few of us are playing PAL, we can have a good challenge trying to set the record. Edited July 15, 2012 by roadrunner

+therealbountybob
@rr sure you can go for the record for that track if you wish (I'll keep you in the Pro challenge where you belong ) there are separate records for PAL, NTSC and (now) Marius versions @Scalak I'll leave your PAL scores in as they're keeping firestorm busy Finally managed a 3 poler on the 1 lap series bottled it a bit on the Atari GP to make sure I didn't crash M 27,700 53"35 N 27,900 52"88 A 26,900 58"68 Total 82,500 (Marius Ver) It's looking like this: Difficulty: the PAL version is easiest all round, the NTSC version is way hardest to complete 6+ laps and the Marius version is hardest to qualify in Pole Position on! Scoring: the PAL version allows a higher score than NTSC and it's looking like the Marius(PAL) version allows the same scoring as NTSC; so; I've increased the 'fiddle factor' for the tables based on the best scores for each of the three races, in the 1 and 2 lap series', in each version... McKong you'll have to let me know what you think - do you remember how many times you crashed / think you can get much more out of PAL... I think there's another couple of thou on my score perhaps from the Marius ver crashes=time+overtakes so we'll stick with straight scores for now for the Pro Challenge M ver.] Tables UPDATED
zylon
Ok, now that 5200 D-factor is done; i can put some real time into this one. I ran through the 1-lap and 2-lap stuff once and even gave the 8-lap Pro a go. Used my NTSC 600xl, though I rather my 5200. I'll probably use 5200 for any future runs of 8-lap pro. 1-lap races: all with no crashes and taking the Pole Malibu- 27,950 Namco- 27,900 Atari GP- 27,800 Total= 83,650 2-lap races: all with no crashes and taking the Pole Malibu- 38,750 Namco- 39,300 Atari GP- 39,200 Total= 117,250 8-lap Pro: Atari GP- 92,
