evilevoix
I wanted to start a thread about people posting their latest classic gaming pick ups. You can obvously include newer stuff just keep if gaming releated. I like these threads because you can learn a lot about stuff you never knew existed or maybe even see something you used to have years ago and now reinvigorated you interest. So just post your recent purchases. You can choose to post what you paid or how you found this stuff or not, it's up to you. My purchases today: Today I found some boxed items on Craigslist I paid $50 for the whole lot. Normally I stay away from these boxed lots as they are almost certainly overpriced but today I think I did good. Nothing rare but I like nice clean items. Everything works but the Gameboy Battery. The Lynx is 100% complete and even has the plastic baggies for everything. I always was impressed with the Lynx. I remember seeing behind a glass case in Toys R Us way back when with California Games Demo playing and the wave looked so cool during the Surfing Mini Game. I prefer the Lynx 1 over the Lynx 2 purely for esthetics, I know it isn't as good and doesn't even have stereo sound via the headphones.

+save2600
Don't care for portables, but even I would have sprung for that deal - just for the Lynx!

evilevoix
Today was a good Craigslist find. This ad had went up about 15 mins before I started searching so I jumped on it. The seller posted his number and a price which was $50. I paid $50 for all of this stuff on the spot. I am not too keen on Nintendo pricing but I figured 24 Nes/N64 titles and now this is my 4th Game Gear but I got a couple of games that I didn't have before. I figured it's less than $2 a game plus a Game Gear and the system bag plus the two game boxes. The NES games were all new to me except Ducktales which now I have two copies. I am beginning to get a decent NES setup but I won't go nuts. After digging through the NES box that came with the set I found a "Hommie". Who remembers those? The Yo Bro is a Raffle I won. I am currently raffling off The Legendary Ax. The drawing is March 1st for those who want in.

evilevoix
Went back to Replay'd today in Boston which is only a Mile or so from Harvard. I got me another Neo Geo Game. I have the Japanese copy but this US version is in pristine condition and was barely used so I couldn't pass it up. They lowered the price a bit too so I couldn't resist.
evilevoix
Craigslist find, great price and has some Hudson Goodness for some Obey style action. I have a SNES already but the older Yellowed ones tend to work better with Game Genies so I actually prefer the OG Yellowed one's. I yanked out the Plastic "Copy Protect" prongs so it plays Super Famicom Carts now easily.

Skippy B. Coyote
Got a couple eBay pickups in the mail today! First up is Double Dribble for the NES (my all time favorite basketball game, my original copy of which I had lost many years ago when financial necessity caused me to have to liquidate my previous retro gaming collection) that I scored for a very fair price of $5.49 shipped. Next is a copy of 1942 for the Game Boy Color, which I got a pretty fantastic deal of $12.95 shipped for. Both games have immaculate condition labels.

Reason I got it is because of Doki Doki Panic. It was a must have game for me.
evilevoix
Got me some Famicom Games from Video Game Connection in Cleveland Ohio. It's in the middle of a shit hole and the building is also a shit hole but the amount of stuff for sale is huge in quantity and quality. Boxed Atari Jag and Jag CD, a TON of Japanese stuff, pretty much everything from Odesy to now. Very impressive.http://www.videogameconnection.com/Games I got....Can't wait to try that 400-1 cart, many good games on there.
19rsn007
Can't wait to try that 400-1 cart, many good games on there. The 400-in-1 cart is a pretty good cartridge A lot of nice games on there. I also have a 199 in 1 cart from that same company that contained all the double dragon NES games My latest (actually didn't buy it today but a while ago) are these The Adventure on GX-12 is actually funny because the PCB actually holds a 2732 uv eprom and a little circuit to invert the /CE signal. (not a hex inverter but some resistors and a transistor!!) I unscrewed it myself to find that out because I noticed the transistor looking into the cartridge so I had to find out why it was there... evilevoix
I found some Master System Stuff on Craigslist. Very cheap the guy didn't know what he had so an easy buy.I then visited Destiny Games in Canton Michigan.http://www.destiny-games.com/Great shop, has a little of everything from the 2600 on. Great selection of CDi, 3DO, Sega Imports, Lynx stuff, and a lot of 5200 stuff; really impressive. The stuff is a LITTLE expensive but not too bad. Strangely they had two U.S. Neo Geo AES Games for WAY WAY Under eBay prices so I snatched them up right quick. They threw in the Sega Genesis Game for free.Pics of the shop.Notice the Turbo Stuff Edited October 19, 2015 by evilevoix

evilevoix
I got some common stuff from Game Headz in Detroit Michigan. My god what a shit hole. The whole shop smelled of weed and cigars and the shop looked like it was in the middle of a war zone with burnt out houses and crumbling industry. The cashier was in a security booth and spoke to me through a small hole. There were dudes just hanging out in the store trying to sell me "Substances" and I had to as politely as possible say no and get the fuck outa dodge.Games were cheap as shit, and I got loaded for free because the Cashier had no idea how to price it properly. Great store to get some classic stuff but my god is it in the most dangerous part of the city.
