Atari 2600 New in Box with unopened PACMAN

I've sold a sealed game for almost 100.00 dollars!!!! Haha! Nice try :)

What game? I've sold unsealed games for $500 plus, but if you think a sealed pacman is worth anywhere near $100 you are mistaken. You have a nice system and game, however many people like to thank these are rare, unfortunately you are mistaken. You asked for for prices and were given a fair price by myself and other members. It isn't to get myself any kind of deal as I have several of these already and have zero interest in buying your merchandise.

Ok so im a "NOOB" HAHAHAHA!!!! I didnt know i would have a poor response on this site by telling me this system is worth 100.00 dollars and you are Atari fans/gamers? Wow maybe to you it s only worth 100.00 but to me its worth more than that because i have kept this system perfect for 30 years its priceless!!! So you "MODDERS" dont feel how I feel about it. Only i wouldnt sell this to you if you gave me a 1000.00 dollars now. Ill make sure I tell my friends about this site too.

You didn't ask anyone for a "sentimental value" price, you asked for a $ price. Again, you asked. When you didn't get the answer you wanted, you insinuated that we were lowballing you.

If you aren't willing to accept the answer, don't ask the question.

Modders? This site is loaded with geezers. The value given to you is based on the vast experience of this group. Trust me, no one is trying to steal your 2600 and no one is going to bat an eye if you take your ball and go home.

edit: to back up my claim that we're a bunch of geezers.

I got this game in addition to 20 loose ones and a boxed Casino, for 50'dollars, but this game alone was only sold to me for 5, sealed, with original cellophane wrap, and also the original Shop-Rite (or possibly Kay-Bee which also used them back then) price sticker which says 10 dollars on it. This and Casino are my only boxed games but I'm happy! :)

Ok On and on we go. Price just went up 400.00 :)

Oh no, please don't raise the price on something none of us wanted for the price you already had it for, lol

I ll get an easy 200.00 for it someplace else like a real collector not you young thinkers. This is old school get it ?

I am guessing you have been hanging around the Nintendo collecting scene, which in that case, yes this would get an easy $300 (if it was a new NES and shrinkwrapped super mario)

You have to understand though, you are in a different world here ;)

Why do new people always act like assholes when they do not like what they hear? YOU CAME TO US but if this is your attitude you are not wanted or needed and yes PLEASE DO TELL OTHERS because we don't need more people coming here and acting like entitled assholes. Throw it on Ebay for what YOU THINK you should get for it and see how that goes.

Wow. Yep. No one here knows what they're talking about. Just the largest concentration of the most knowledgeable and notable Atari collectors in the world. Man we're a bunch of noobs.

It is really quite simple Natalie...

You have access to thousands of collectors right here on Atariage, many of whom buy and sell systems and games quite often right here.

If it is an easy $200 sell, then someone will pay that. I have things that I love dearly and have taken perfect care of them over the years... To me, they're priceless. But if I listed them here or elsewhere, there WOULD be a VALUE placed on them by buyers and I would have to decline offers. That is what is happening here.

You have a nice setup there, no doubt. But on the open market, it has a value, and that value is somewhere between $100 and $150.

Supply and demand do not take into consideration "sentimental value" because your package there is not rare. Uncommon, maybe. Not rare.

I wish you luck, but I can tell you if you are seeking $300 for it, you may wait a long time to find someone willing to pay it.

Or listen to the advice of some of the senior members in a forum they're soliciting. ;)

Again - I bought a similar setup here for $100. So no... $100 is not "unacceptable".

Original listing:

...and here's when I bundled it with a bunch of goodies after NOT being able to sell on ePay for $125 shipped (decided I didn't want a Vader tainting my woody collection - ha!) and knowing nobody here would pay what I paid for it. I had to bundle with all of these games, sell for LESS than I paid AND provide free shipping before the damn thing sold:

What more evidence would you really need than these posts? Personally the highest I would pay would be $100.

Oh, go sit on it! For another 10-20 years that is.

In all seriousness, if you're looking to "cash in", best to just hang on to it. Maybe get the end of that RF cord away from the system so you don't end up needlessly scratching it all to hell and put her in a safe spot until later.

Or better yet… get yourself a Harmony cartridge and enjoy her now while you still can!
