Swami
I prefer the endless sea to the small square of land, also. Great game. Challenging.

+atari2600land
There are still a few little things to do, the most important one being make the level select code a secret code.
TIX
Sorry about that, but some details bothered me.. changed some pixels and moved the tentacle slightly to the left, as to not be cut off and ruin the illusion !
+atari2600land
That's okay. I found a couple of bugs that I needed to get rid of. I thought the boss was too easy, so I added in the other smaller octopus. You start at it for testing. gosub20191027test.zip

In later boss stages you could add even 2 or 3 small ones..
+Trebor
Possible bug, from the 20191027 build. All maze levels before, and the maze level after, the below screen captured level had a key that needed to be obtained first before opening the treasure chest. The below level had no key, but I was able to complete it and move on (bonus round then next level) by just touching the treasure chest. +atari2600land
I went back and worked on this again. I tested it. I tried to get all the way through but died on level 17. So sad I can't beat my own game! gosub20200505.zip
TIX
Looking good overall, Is this a "full" version that can be completed ? It would be nice if you mention my name somewhere on the title screen, eventually !
+atari2600land
Yes, you can complete this version. All I know you as is "TIX". What is your name?

+atari2600land
Changed title screen and centered score scroll. You can't really make an x in this font I've been using, so I had to do it like this. gosub2020may6.zip 4
+atari2600land
Found a bug in the may 6 version pertaining to the key's location on the scroll. This has been fixed.
TIX
are you talking about this ? Easy way to rack-up the points, if you go to a corner with a straight corridor ahead of you, It's easy to camp there and wait for the octopus that keeps appearing on the opposite side and kill him repeatedly.. maybe a time limit or something like that will prevent that ?
+atari2600land
Yep, that's what I was talking about. I fixed that. As for the points, I don't know why anyone would want to do that. Wouldn't that get quite boring?
TIX
It's an old arcade habit go for the score ! Not for me though.. so it doesn't bother me.

Hmm.. a vicious shark with friggen laser beam on his head would fix that after several minute goes by. It could use the sound from the Cave Sharks from Dragon Buster. Those scares the crap out of me. Or the Submarine would collapse onto itself due to water pressure getting higher. Who knows if the point value going to roll over to 0 or crash the game.
+atari2600land
Seeing as how the goal of the game is to get to the end, and points are just used as a gauge to see how good you are at the game (like in Super Mario Bros.), I really don't see this as a big deal. I found and fixed another bug, this one pertaining to the Easter egg.
