One question: has this variant always the bottom flap blue sticker?

If you have one copy without the blue sticker I would be happy to see a pic of it!

I only have a copy of pictures, with this version as shown on the latest spreadsheet

that I sent you

Football BX Mattel 2610-0410 (Slots) HK-STK INT ED 1980 (variant)  VAR MT-08k

Note: if the box is in the spreadsheet with a VAR key, then I have pictures in the

database.

Thank you Grant!

So, also the game of wich you have the pics has the blue sticker…

Let’s see if someone will come out with a copy without sticker…

What does BX stand for?

BX stands for box. I started the project out 2 plus years ago with a basic file name structure using the same general information, so as I can

name the cartridges, manuals and overlays in a similar manner. I will be using CT for cartridges, MN for manuals, and OV for overlays. At least

that was plan, when are I started. I have further updated the main Spreadsheet, with more information, to easily find different box variants, especially

paying close attention to the Digiplay/Digimed, Coleco and CBS Electronics vendors. More columns, with more easy to navigate, information will be at the end users hand.

If you want a copy of the latest spread sheet, I can send one your way. It has come a long ways, since you critiqued it. The variant (VAR)

key was totally revamped several times, do to the number of soccer boxes involved.

I picked this one up recently and have no idea what version it is.  Is it a Us version?  And why is there a NHL Hockey label under it.

It is the Intellivision Inc. version of NHL Hockey, without the licensing information on the box. In order to be in compliance with the agreement to remove all NHL information, All Mattel boxes that had licensing had to be reprinted to remove both the Mattel Copy write info, and also the licensing info from their respective licensers. You asked the same question, I had, when I started sorting through hundreds of games, when I bought out a private collector. In order to satisfy my curiosity, I did a lot of research on old Intellivision web sites, some that no longer exist, to figure out the trail of the box variants. Finding I had some unique ones, I further started a picture data base, and have now over 800 different variants of boxes and counting. If you are genuinely interested in the history of these boxes and variants, a good place to start is INTV Funhouse website, Although, they do not answer questions to their website email address. Three years, and I have given up hope. They lack a lot of information, I have collected, and they have a lot of incorrect information. Another site that will help, is the Blueskye Rangers website. If you do a search on the net, most questions, you have in relationship to Mattel Intellivision can be answered. If you have further questions regarding the box variants out there, I would be happy to answer them, as I have created, what would be probably those most extensive picture database ever attempted. You just have to message me here.
Good luck in your Adventures

I do not own it.

The picture is from a sale. If you are interested, then you can buy it.

It is obviously a generic box from ToysRUs for reselling returns.

Then in all truth, it is not a variant, from INTV Corporation, which Nullifies it as a true variant. It is just a repackage by a store.

True collectors value everything with the Intellivision name on it - even if it was handwritten by Janice working the return desk at Toys-were-us

Honestly, I have thought of picking up a game with that generic SOFTWARE box just because I had seen it so many times in listings and felt like I needed to have one in the collection just as a gag  :lolblue:

Unless the Box is an actually variant, of one of the vendors, that had the box for sale, I do not consider it as a variant box. It serves no purpose in being in the picture database, that I have created.
