Do you have a DD capable drive and did you try to boot side B there?

ATX currently does not support DD disks. I have not tried to convert a DD flux image but not detecting anything on a DD flux dump would be a valid option in this case.

Can you please redo this disk in INDEX mode?

For a diagnostic disk this might be worth the effort.

Oh, and I see no need for BASIC with this title.

IT DOES BOOT!  WooHoo!  I will get a new copy as soon as I can.  Will ATX ever support DD, ED?

This disk misses the needed copy protection which should be a bad sector. If you select a printer, a copyright screen shows up and the system reboots.

Forms Generator (1986)(Twenty-Fifth Century)(US)[disk][f].atx

Weird-o-Fact:

This is the second dump of this program and the third from this company which shows this error.

Can you please try if this disk works on hardware?

I really don't want to believe that several non-working disks were sold.

It does boot on real Hardware.  I will get a new copy as soon as I can.

I recorded it 3 times.  each times the bad sectors are the same. The -p option does nothing.

Did Antic use copy protection?

Repaired by @DjayBee.

Yeah, this is what I had expected.

ATX will support DD. ijor and phaeron are currently discussing details of its implementation.

Since we already have two other dumps with the same problem, I do not expect a fresh dump to be much different.

Can you please run the attached image against your physical floppy and return the resulting image to me?

It will extract all sectors from track 4 plus each of sectors 84 and 85 two additional times.

Take care not to accidentally overwrite your original disk.

Dos25Extract 25th.atr

Example run assuming you booted the ATR from D1 and put the physical Forms Generator disk in D2:
(The program will also work with only one drive. It then asks to switch disks.)

Jupiter Mission 1999 (1983)(Microcomputer Games)(US)[disk]

Boot with BASIC.

I spent a couple hours on this one.  It looks like someone opened a can of coke over the disks.  I had to clean the disks, the drive and re-record several times.  I finally did get clean copies.

Mostly clean: Three neded and several unneeded sectors close to the end are missing.

Repaired using sectors from set #2:

Jupiter Mission 1999 Disk 1[f].atx

I am not sure what is going on here.  It boots to Black Rabbit 1.5, but the files look like it might be the right stuff. AUTORUN.SYS overwritten?

Not only AUTORUN.SYS was overwritten but the first half of the disk. Thus I cannot repair the disk.

Black Rabbit seems to be a sector copier from ANALOG.

That was interesting.

I used Ape and the Black Box to move drives around without changing IDs on the units themselves.

Phaeron and ijor ask what drive you used to dump these sectors because it seemingly cannot have been a 1050.

I guess that I should have given more attention to your mentioning of the Black Box. ;)

Best answer directly to that posting.

Word Attack! (1983-1989)(Davidson)(US)[disk] Set #2 Includes untested C64 files

Box is different so I am posting all contents.

Disk 2 misses sector 28 which is needed right after the shooting splash screen.

Fixed with data from the other set:

Word Attack! (1983-1989)(Davidson)(US)(Side 2, Program)[disk][f].atx

And btw. this whole release is different, not only the packaging. Inside a file it carries a release date of 03-27-87.

Just had to mention new equipment: a QNAP TVS-h874 NAS (Specs). The top one in the picture.

I installed:

2 Sabrent 8TB m.2 SSDs that are mirrored. (7000 mbs)

8 22 TB Seagate Exos Hard drives on a Raid 6.

2nd NAS in the pic is the old NAS and will be used as a synchronized backup to the first on a Raid 6.

All this on a 2.5 gig LAN. TOP NAS has 2 2.5 gig network ports trunked together. Bottom one has 4 1 gig network ports trunked together.  This gives the top one a 5 gig network connection and the bottom a 4 gig network connection.  The PC I built has a 2.5 gig network port in it.

The condition of the following Analog disks are the worst I have seen yet.  They all had water spots on the surface along with something crusty that alcohol would not take off.

In some cases, I used a plastic "scraper" to help remove the crust and bathed them in alcohol to remove the grime.  In all cases, this helped, but just was not enough for all disks.

I was lucky to get what I got.
