+Schmitzi
Statistics say that in Germany in 2017, - 52000 people were homeless without any accomodation, sleeping outside - 390000 people were virtually homeless (having a chance to find temporary shelter at friends or relatives or in public shelters) - 420000 people were approved refugees without a permanent accomodation (current population: 82.5 mill.) These are the "official numbers" the "government" wants to make us believe. There are many instances saying they (all 3 numbers) are from 2 up to 3 times higher. I believe in the latter, and I am "sure" about.
+mizapf
I suggest to leave it here to everyone's belief. Let's return to the weather.

+Schmitzi
@Vorticon: Yes, 80s were and are great (this here was one of my favourite group and songs) The Time Machine is in our minds, it depends on us to carry it out, just like we do it here on AA. @Opry: I would like to give you some credit on this time, but how to do ? Opry99er
Mine was: Technically late 70s, not 80s... but this sound shaped the whole 80s electronic movement. I have chosen to post the English version, simply because it was the version I grew up listening to. +Schmitzi
Hard to say, but I think my all time favorite in and of this time was and is "Major Tom" (Völlig losgelöst) by Peter Schilling There was also a great english version, called "Major Tom - completely detached"

Omega-TI
BTW - Anyone remember the sequel to Major Tom... or was it a prequel? NEVER MIND..... found it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYYRH4apXDo Edited February 28, 2018 by --- Ω ---
+Schmitzi
Yes, "Völlig losgelöst" (1982) is somehow an adaption of "Space Oddity" (1969?) This is the coolest adaption, performed by Chris Hadfield in space! surreal
+mizapf
And "Ashes to Ashes" is a sequel to Space Oddity. They got a message from the action man:"I'm happy, hope you're happy, too [...] Ashes to ash and funk to funkyWe know Major Tom's a junkieStrung out in heaven's highHitting an all-time low" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMThz7eQ6K0

+mizapf
Talking about Kraftwerk, I had some real Autobahnfahrt some days ago when travelling to and returning from Austria, but before you start getting fantasies about flying over smooth streets stretching to the horizon - thousands of people obviously had the same idea. This looked more like a viscous gel forcing its way forward. (You know, when we can't drive faster than 80 km/h (50 mph), we're getting the itches. )

Sinphaltimus
So no computers this weekend. I had somethings must to do. Make scripts for classic, photoshop stitching for gcracker, cintinued beted testing id game. Sorry, we lost power early yesterday during brutal noreaster, buried in about 2 feet of snow. Lucky I have internet from one small space in the house right now via cell phone. Hang tight, be back in Action any day now.
