Master Phruby
I'm glad they are acknowledging @PacManPlus authorship. Otherwise he would have to leave and form is own company called Activision. 1

This also means Berzerk gets more attention, with a proper box, manual, and cartridge label. Well when you put it like that it does make sense. Still, I'm glad to have the combined package for convenience. The new artwork is indeed quite nice.

Agreed. Id like to see the Lynx pack in California Games. Also-It would be nice if they did the 8 bit version of Summer Games on the 400 mini. They gave you Caverns of Mars on the latest firmware update, Id like to see them do the same with Summer Games.

It was this reason that I think the video game crash happened... all the good coders left Atari. Reminds me of the Bender comment about starting his own casino as well...

For me it is the best game of the lot. spork
Any chance this will have a sd card slot? I think a cool alternative would be to allocate some internal memory where you could save a few of your favorites from the cart dumps. Of course I will buy one but seems like a repacked upgrade of the 2600+?

When clicking the pre-order button, I don't see an option for PAL, so I assume these new games are all NTSC? Will there be local distribution in Europe, just like the recently three re-released 7800 games (Fatal Run, Ninja Golf and Food Fight)? Ben from Plaion stated that in the 2600+ thread about the new consoles, accessoires and games. For us, Dutch people, Plaion will do distribution for the Benelux, but no news about the retailers. Yes, they'll roll out internationally from today, similar retail distribution as 2600+. Plaion Nordic will have stock for retail. 2
Cousin Vinnie
I just wanna say congrats to Bob I know Bobby D told me once that his games being released under the official Atari banner would mean so much to him. And now look at this! LOL. Watching the new 7800+ commercial featuring Bentley Bear made me smile from ear to ear for this guy that really helped save the system back in the double aughts and 2010's. Bob- you are the greatest baby and you deserve the attention. Edited August 20 by Cousin Vinnie 20

Atari please release the North American version! ....oh and a Lynx+ ...and a Jaguar+ 😄
matthew954
I love the look of the 7800+. I've been drooling over the 2600+ since it was announced, but couldn't quite pull the trigger on it. Good thing I didn't yet. Now I'm thinking of selling off my composite modded 2600 Jr, and 7800 for an HDMI upgrade. My Amazon upscaler just doesn't do its graphics justice with composite out. So it kind of makes sense in that context, but I think the US version looks better.

Plus with modern oled displays... A Jaguar+? But then I couldn't get away with selling my Jag+CD for 1k... not that I'd ever part with it, but that seems to be the going price... or more. 2

You’ve got to be in the minority / low exception of those to dislike it. I’ve never heard anyone dislike the large logo version. There are many threads where people have gone out of their way to get a PAL 7800 shell just for that reason. I grew up with the U.S. version and was always envious that we didn’t get this version. The 2600 Jr (variant) had the large logo and I loved it. The skinny one is so puny and almost nonexistent. Clearly this is a matter of personal preference and taste but no way could I have imagined these shipping with ProLines for example. Those things are awful! Though I do love the modded evolved proline paddles that V61 did, Atari should pick that idea up!
