Probably because he won the auction and has a legal obligation to pay. Do you bid on auctions on a regular basis and not pay?

 

Sure, I probably don't pay for 1% of the auctions I've won. And if you buy several hundered items a year those are a few. In most cases the seller tried to jack up the shipping costs.

That would explain why you stopped using your previous Ebay account. Unless there is fraud of some type that you couldn't have been aware of before the auction ended, you have an obligation to always pay for the item. You should negotiate shipping prior to bidding, end of story.

Its was "acceptable" condition, the labels were new, just some bubbling, and the cart inside was dirty. The pictures were blurry, and there was no screenshot. Also, after several conversations with other members here, the seller was known, and proved, to do dirty sales.
