flashjazzcat
I have just realised that I should not be contributing to this incorrectly titled thread. Good spot. I hadn't noticed that. It's one of those thuddingly ironic topic titles. Edited February 10, 2012 by flashjazzcat

Swami
Guy on NPR did a short editorial about a listener who scolded them for using "oh" rather than "zero" when they said their zipcode. Is a zero an "oh"? O 0 O 0 O 0 and in Calculus and Physics homework, it was expedient to use: O for 'oh' and Ø for 'zero' although, furthermore, in handwriting: Z is a "two" and Z with line through it, which apparently has no Alt code, is a "zee" or "zed" 7 is a one and 7 with line through it, which also has no Alt code, is a seven.

snicklin
Really,to be correct to the English language, we should say 'six thousand, five hundred and two'.
+David_P
Actually, the proper pronunciation is "dollar sign one nine six six".
576XE
I think that every localized person say it in his local manner. In Russian It's much more simpler and faster to say... (Sixtyfive-Null-two.- In translation of course!) Then Six Five Zero Two. zen
