cimerians
I was tempted.. but then it said I already owned it. Turns out I have bunches of games there at GOG I've never played. But that's PC gaming for me. It's crazy I have games that are buried so much that when I go to check out I sometimes get 'you already own this' Sometimes it happens to me with books too

Asaki
I concur...shows 3.99 for me as well. Maybe if you buy the complete bundle it comes to 2.29 for just x-wing? Yeah, here's the link to the bundle: https://www.gog.com/promo/20171212_winter_sale_star_wars_flight_bundle
Tanooki
You have to get every single game, can not exclude even one, and then you get the heavier cut. I own all of them but 2 on that link so it wasn't hard to check the cut off.
Asaki
Yeah, I always hate when there's a good looking bundle, but I already own half of the games on CD-ROM already. This was an easy grab for me, as I don't own any of them. Well, I might have Rogue Squadron 3D and/or Starfighter somewhere, but IIRC it was some weird demo/OEM disc and probably not the full game. Tanooki
Jedi Starfighter and Rebel Assault1+2 are the only ones I don't own in that. I probably should pick them up. Jedi I enjoyed on PS2 years ago and the older RA1+2 my best friend had on his old PC in the day and it was a fun game even if it was a canned click and shoot. Asaki
I might try them out on my new Everdrive64...I've heard they were some of the more technologically impressive games on the console. I have whatever that Rogue game was for the GameCube, the second one, and it's kind of weird...has this "Unity 3D engine" feeling to it. Punisher5.0
I ended up getting these games on GOG during the winter sale: Rollercoaster Tycoon 1+2 Superhot Downwell Themepark
xenomorpher
I broke down and bought the two remastered Turok games on Steam and glad I did. I still have my copy of the first one from the early 2000's, but it doesn't look quite as good as the remastered version. Plus it doesn't have a level editor, which I'll have to learn how to use it sometime. Turok 2, like the remastered first one, feels so much better than the N64 version and it has objectives highlighted. That makes it so much easier and more fun playing those huge levels, because I used to get lost easily. I can't recommend them enough at the sale price they're at now. I just wish they had a level editor and Steam Workshop for the second game.

Tanooki
Oddly the last one on that list looks the most fun - City Clickers, a monotone chip tune music backed sim city wannabe that looks really solid.

JamesD
FWIW, we should probably compile a list of abandonware sites and possibly add them to the first post.

Tanooki
Abandonware is a made up name, there is no abandonware. Odds are getting busted over it is microscopic, but it's still warez.

There does happen to be such a thing as orphan works under copyright law, but I'm no expert so I'll leave it at that.
