tschak909
and by setting MIO/BB, I literally mean doing that in SYSEDIT. -Thom
_The Doctor__
except I did, using an ATR8000 as the serial port and the the drives... for years and years, the ATR8000 handled four QUADS and the modem... if the waitcalls are fubar now... then it's the result of later changes... perhaps the waitcalls need to be fixed/rolled back to a time before everyone running a board had hard drives... early on very few Express BBS! and PRO! boards had hard drives let alone a black box or mio... tschak909
ATR8000's concurrent mode behavior in the handler is completely different than the 850. -Thom
Kyle22
I can see a few bytes before ATA (Ctrl-M) and some after. My initial thought was edit waitcall w/ a hex editor and move ATA (Ctrl-M) three bytes ahead. But: Those 3 bytes look like they could easily be code. It would likely crash if attempted. I may try, but I expect failure. This thing is supposed to emulate 850 / Hayes 100%, right?
tschak909
yes, am guessing that the connect message from the modem is happening too fast. This was fixed in firmware many months ago. -Thom
Kyle22
SYSEDIT just set interface type to 850. Try it now.
_The Doctor__
Maybe it would be good for fujinet to emulate the ATR8000 handler then... better serial and SIO just have to up the drive speeds in the atr8000 firmware. and perhaps the waitcall/pro issues could of course use some work as well. Still wondering how so many BBS Express! and PRO! boards had nothing but a memory upgrade, an 850, modem, and a stack of 1050's/percoms. Kyle22
I am using the FN that I received in October, with the antenna (which is a wonderful improvement).

YES! I have been harping on this for years. We have GT-Sync on Indus bit-banging using a 4Mhz. Z80. ATR-8000 has the same wonderful CPU. This should be an EASY transplant. We even have US Doubler ROM for the Indus GT. That would be perfect in the ATR-8000 ROM. [Sorry, O/T]. Kyle22
I'll take it downstairs tomorrow to the Win 10 (spy) machine and update the firmware in case I don't have the latest.
_The Doctor__
kyle you're using PBI hard drives anyway on the incognito correct? so no fujinet drives or real sio 1050's etc... correct?
Kyle22
Yes. Correct. There is a PCL: cable attached which should'nt hurt, but I unplugged it now. Edited November 3, 2021 by Kyle22 punctuation.

tschak909
You should load the flasher so that you can get a debug console. You can also do so by attaching a terminal program to the com port exposed by the Fujinet's CP2102 UART. Baud rate is 921600 -Thom You can also get to it via installing platformio and running pio run monitor
Kyle22
I have the entire waitcall ZIP that tschak kindly posted mounted as PCLD: in SDX, so it it is quick and easy to try a new one that may work with FujiNet. I am open to suggestions.
Kyle22
Just installed waitcal0. Does anyone have detailed docs on this? Other than [Carden] ? Edit: Trying different ones again to see if anything works. Should I go go back to the default one and see if there is a firmware update?
