+jgkspsx
Hardly played all week, then the weekend exploded. Apple iOS: Duolingo - 91 min Pikmin Bloom - 43 min Arcade: Dariusburst Another Chronicle - 25 minutes Me and two friends who know nothing about Darius at all played through the whole game on the infinite ships mode, and it was hilarious. Incredible experience, worth the $10. Time Crisis 3 - 10 minutes Not my normal thing, but my friend wanted to play, so why not. This thing where modern hipster arcades mute all the games is unconscionable. I'll never know how cheesy it was. Browser: Crater Commander - 30 min Microsoft had interns develop Bust-a-Move. Loading is a killer but the scoring mechanism is interesting. Nintendo Game Boy Advance: Hardcore Pinball - 90 minutes The Deep Space 9 takeoff table is worth the price of admission alone. There's one entirely broken table but the other three are great. Nokia N-Gage: I watched the entirety of Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow in Spanish. Definitely better that way. For a movie that exists exclusively for the visuals, though, watching a literal postage stamp version was perhaps disrespectful. But then, the movie had Gwyneth Paltrow in it, so it's hard to see how it could be more disrespected. Motocross N-Gage Freestyle - 30 minutes When you see this screenshot: What do you think the game is? Answer: it's all quick-time events all the time. If you do it right the rider does the trick; if not, the rider does nothing. No wipeouts here. Nevertheless it is strangely compelling... Pool Friction - 45 minutes While you might think it's something debilitating that happens inside your bathing suit on a failed entrance or exit, it's really just a 3D billiards simulator. Sony PSVita: Ridge Racer - 45 minutes Forgot this last week. Weird game, no substance at all. Tiny Arcade/Micro Arcade: Micro Arcade Millipede - 20 minutes It's pretty good. Tiny Arcade BurgerTime - 75 minutes This is excellent. But don't take my word for it, watch the video:
Steven Pendleton
Yeah, Dariusburst AC is great. I just wish the cabinet was a bit taller or had no ceiling at all. I'm at risk of killing myself by smashing my skull into that thing whenever I get into or out of the cabinet, and dying because I wanted to play Dariusburst AC would be most inconvenient.

(#7) 8. iOS - 134 min. (#6) 9. Super Impulse Tiny/Micro Arcade - 95 min. (#10) 10. GBA - 90 min. Total 9337 minutes and 42 different games on 14 different systems, with 5 participants. While the number of players is a bit lower this week, the number of minutes is the highest in 7 weeks. Death Stranding Director's Cut stays in first place, exactly 17 hours ahead of Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. The difference is slightly lower on the systems side, the PC is only 15.7 hours ahead of Xbox Series X. Death Stranding Director's Cut exceeds the 50 Hour (3000 min) threshold with a total of 3540 min. All-time stats didn't change much, actually only one game with 10K+ minutes (Forza Horizon 5 on the Xbox Series X) got any minutes recorded this week. 2
Steven Pendleton
Done with Death Stranding. Blue Reflection TIE is back finally, and so are the typical STGs. +jgkspsx
Heavier on the modern side this week. Apple iOS: Duolingo - 91 minutes Pikmin Bloom - 97 minutes Pinball Dreams - 16 minutes A representative sample: Arcade: Guitar Hero Arcade - 10 minutes. I played two long songs. Nintendo Game Boy Advance: Pac-Man Pinball Advance - 35 minutes It's not bad but the way it handles scoring is really bad. Tang Tang - 115 minutes This single-screen comedic action platformer (basically a more hectic take on Solomon’s Key) is pretty frickin hard. But it's quite fun. Critical reviews of it from back in the day have not aged well. Nintendo Switch: I was going to play a bunch of serious RPG type games but instead I used up my batteries on: Gravitar Recharged - 210 minutes I got up to #5 in the world without even finishing the challenges yet. Not quite as high-ranking on the arcade mode but I was also a bit distracted. Nokia N-Gage: Snakes - 35 minutes You think Nokia is going to launch a system without Snake? I got news for you: NO. This one is pretty hard due to the camera and small viewport in top-down mode, but it's pretty solid. System Rush - 180 minutes Still impressive visually after all this time. I don't think the PSP or DS ever got a racer quite like this one, even if wipEout was pretty good on the PSP. Tech Wars - 20 minutes Another Spain exclusive, this is Tron lightcycles, except in third person 3D so you can't see where the opponent is. Pretty fun but very unfair. As with classic, I might sneak something else in, but I'll mention it if I do.

Skippy B. Coyote
A little bit of modern and a little bit of classic gaming for me this week! I've been doing my yearly playthrough or Resident Evil 4 on the Switch (on Professional difficulty this time, which is equal parts challenging and frustrating but still pretty fun) and played some Atari 2600 games for the final round of the HSC's end of season major league tournament. The highlight of the week for me was setting a new world record high score in the Atari 2600 homebrew game RAPTOR during the final round of the tournament! Ineligible (All Atari 2600) RAPTOR - 101 minutes Wizard of Wor - 119 minutes Nintendo Switch Resident Evil 4 - 1,205 minutes Total Video Game Play Time This Week 1,425 minutes (23 hours 45 minutes) [1,205 minutes eligible] Individual System Play Times This Week Nintendo Switch: 1,205 minutes Atari 2600: 220 minutes

ColecoGamer
I haven’t had much time to play a lot of games, but here is my current list: PS5: 40 Minutes KOF15 - I’m disappointed by the lack of online competition. Maybe people dislike the game? Evercade: 2 hours Namco Collection 2 (i.e. Splatterhouse 2 & 3) - Splatterhouse 2 plays a lot like the original, with strong monsters and pain-in-the-butt traps. I love it! Edited June 14, 2022 by ColecoGamer

PS5 - 40 min. 10. Arcade - 10 min. Total 6275 minutes and 31 different games on 10 different systems, with 6 participants. The only remaining game from last week's top 10, drops from #1 to #4 while three other games play to win, and Days Gone on the PS4 achieves the most minutes. The top three systems also perfectly match the top three on the individual list. This week was void of Xbox gaming, but instead the PS5 made a guest appearance. Resident Evil 4 (Switch) enters the 50 Hour Club with a total of 3455 minutes. It increases the total count to 113 games (6.2%). 1
Steven Pendleton
No Quints, no Mary Skelter, and Death Stranding is of course gone, but Crimzon Clover is back for the first time in a long time. New addition to the tracker: Gradius V. This game is incredible. Go play it right now. I wish I'd played it sooner, as it's extremely good. It's really hard, though.
Steven Pendleton
Oh yes, what should be done about Sonic Origins for next week? It has a game mode where you play through all included games as one really long game. Count as "Sonic Origins" or something? They are all of course available separately, and this will also be the second release of Sonic CD on PC on modern side and the third release of Sonic CD on PC in general.

If there is a game mode with all the games in the same, it probably counts as its own entry. In particular as you might have a hard time to keep apart which game is which.
+jgkspsx
I was very busy this week and games definitely took a back seat. Apple iOS: Duolingo - 43 minutes Pikmin Bloom - 89 minutes Pinball Dreams - 10 minutes Nintendo Game Boy Advance: Qwak - 15 minutes Pac-Man Pinball Advance - 20 minutes Strike Force Hydra - 35 minutes Somehow this bargain-bin shmup has compelled me a lot... Nintendo Switch: Creaks - 75 minutes Somehow Amanita Design snuck out a game without me knowing about it! Fixed that, though. Gravitar Recharged - 90 minutes Up to #4 in the world on challenges, but the top 3 are pretty far over me. Salt & Sanctuary - 20 minutes Have you ever bought a game and then realized it really wasn't for you? It doesn't happen to me often, as I am pretty careful about what I buy, but this seems to have been a mistake. I will watch some videos and see if I can stick it out...

digdugnate
I kept the total number of games down to a few titles this week; one of which I double-dipped on systems since TMNT is available on GamePass for XBox. Nintendo Switch: Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics -- 210 minutes Pac-Man Museum+ -- 420 minutes Streets of Rage 4 -- 240 minutes Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge -- 900 minutes XBox Series X: Borderlands -- 480 minutes Forza Horizon 5 -- 60 minutes Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge -- 120 minutes
+wongojack
DS Picross 3d 44 GBA Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories 388 XOne Pac-Man Museum+ 25 TMNT Shredder's Revenge 27 I've gotten back from the first of 2 long trips I am taking this summer, so most of my gaming is handheld or portable emulation stuff. I got to a point in Chain of Memories where the number of areas to explore expanded. I am enjoying the game, but for some reason the pseudo ending I was presented with made me stop playing. Most of the rest of my time that would have been spent gaming was spent listening to audiobooks like "Dungeon Crawler Carl" (which is totally awesome btw).
