UPDATE: The below homebrew was nominated in a previous edition of the Atari Homebrew Awards and is no longer eligible in the 7800 WIP category. This was an oversight by myself and I apologize as I should have caught it long before the public voting started. We have renamed the entry in the polls to REMOVED and are looking into options moving forward with the voting in this category. If you haven't voted in the poll yet, do not choose the REMOVED option and please pick from the others.

  • Penta (Port) (was Pengo) by 20th St Arcade / Darryl Guenther @darryl1970 / Paul Lay @playsoft & Pat Brady @Pat Brady (Music & Music Engine)

UPDATE: I will be contacting the community members who voted for the removed game and will ask for their alternative vote. At the end of public voting I will add their alternative vote to the poll results to get the final vote tally for this category. Sorry for the trouble and thank you for your patience!

The downloadable binary for A.R.T.I. is the CONCERTO version, if used on Dragonfly or most other emulators, it won't have any music.

The demo does have a full POKEY soundtrack and the Dragonfly + Emulator friendly version can be found in the A.R.T.I. thread  Both are from 2022 and predate the Concerto version, which was just a music fix for Concerto.

Thank you so much for spotting this Lewis! I've updated the Public Voting binaries with the ones you've linked in the top post of the A.R.T.I. thread. Sorry for the confusion!

RESULTS DISCLAIMER:

The rules of the voting require all voters to be an active member of the AtariAge Forum by the end of the eligible year. We've had to manually deduct the votes of those who may have unknowingly violated this rule and unfortunately the software used for the polls doesn't easily allow for the removal of votes after the fact. Therefore you must deduct the below votes to get accurate results, sorry for any confusion this may cause. We will be looking into software to help eliminate the issue so we won't have to do this next year.

VOTES TO REMOVE:

(1) Attack of the PETSCII Robots

(1) Wordle

VOTES TO ADD: Please add these 13 votes that were picked as an alternative to the removed entry.

(8) A.R.T.I.

(3) Lunar Patrol

(2) No Alternative Choice Made
