How did you achieve the Harmony working? Obviously in Dev mode but I can't seem to get anything to load properly on my Harmony.

Batari put out custom arms for f4, f6, and f8 that are 2600+ compatible.

You need to use them and overwrite the base arms in the program folder for it to work on the 2600+

My 2600+ compatibility run:

Pass:

Ballblazer (was most finicky of the bunch)

Tower of Rubble

Fail:
Cave In - Starts me over the top of the playfield geometry and can't move at all.  Partial load perhaps

Lode Runner

Most of the games I've had worked on the first go.  The only one so far giving me any trouble would be Ballblazer, but after re-seating it, it worked

Not sure if this was mentioned, but I just got my Edladdin Super Twin 78 in the mail today and it seems to be working with the 2600+ so far...

Cool. I wanted to order one of them (a few days ago), but it was out of stock.

So I instead ordered a '7800 Mega Controller Adapter' (I'm still waiting on for it to be shipped. Maybe it could be up to a couple weeks or so before I get it, and then the Christmas season could add to delivery times).

A Review comment there mentions it's compatible with the 2600+ console.

As I plan on getting a few 7800 games I can play on my 2600+ console (and some 7800 games require a two-button 7800 compatible controller), I've been looking for 7800 game controllers, or modern 7800 compatible game-pads, but it seems currently there's not much available, or out of stock or are fairly expensive. And the traditional 7800 joystick controller looks awkward and uncomfortable to use (and I've seen mention that they are uncomfortable to use or can cause undue hand-strain).

So I figured if I can get a cheaper Genesis gamepad (I found a fairly cheap 6 button one on Ebay, it looked in good condition), and then the controller adapter, it would still be a less expensive option then say trying to buy a new 7800 gamepad, something like the RetroGameBoyz ones, which do look great, though if I was to buy one of those I'm looking at around $100 in cost of where I live (item cost, shipping and duties / taxes), and if my idea works (with the Adapter and a Genesis gamepad) then it comes out to less than half the cost for me. *Fingers crossed it will all work*.

The Mega7800 works well, with external power! you can connect an 8bitdo Genesis receiver and use almost any blutooth pad or joystick with A/B buttons.

A wired Genesis Pad does not need external power of course.

If a game is better for a pad I use a Dualsense but my arcade Joystick is first choice🤗

In the pic the yellow cable comes from power brick, the Mega7800 is connected to the 2600+

@DEANJIMMY Thanks for the info. I've ordered a wired 6 button 'Master System control pad' which I got for a cheap price on Ebay.

But that's really cool that it may also work with some certain wireless joystick / gamepad like you mentioned.

I look forward to getting the controller (that I found on Ebay) and the 7800 Mega Controller Adapter. Hopefully it'll all work good for playing some 7800 games on my 2600+ console.

Now it's a matter of waiting until I get all the stuff delivered and then give it a try.

Thanks for all this testing!  Would be awesome if you could compile a list of just "Homebrew that works with 2600+" when you are all done with your testing.

That's a good idea.  I was going to start with a list of what doesn't work to help encourage Atari to work on more compatibility.

Hi,

My HERO and Zaxxon cartridges works well in three of my original consoles (four swtch, light sixer and a vader) but not in the 2600+. I cleaned them multiple times but nothing works. These two games appears in the Atari 2600+ compatibility list.

For HERO move it gently left, right or up (up works often for me) once inserted or insert it slowly so it does not reach the  bottom.

Use hot swap to do this!

The 2600+ is quite finicky with certain carts like those from Activision.

HERO works but you may have bad luck with your personal cart/slot combination, as I had with my Juno First.

The 2600 Jr on the other hand reads all the troublemaker carts.

My Ms. Pac Man for Atari 7800 is loading in a weird way. It reacts to Reset Switch, I can hear sounds, but the screen is garbled. I have cleaned contacts already two times. Is this 2600+ or my cartridge?

IMG_2384.mov

I have just purchased a sealed new old stock PAL Ms Pac-man and I get the same garbled screen with sound. Hopefully this will be fixed in the next update.

Also PAL Karateka doesn't work for me either.
