raz0red
Updated firmware and dumper release on the first page. The updated dumper is the result of a tremendous amount of work by @batari and @RevEng. The changes to the dumper are fairly significant, so it is very likely there will be regressions. Please report any findings in this thread. Caveat (as always): These builds are experimental, not official Atari/Plaion releases, so please use at your own risk. Thanks a lot, Chris. John Stamos Mullet
Dumping is way more reliable now. also the speedups and optimizations are noticeable. Pitfall II is glorious.

Wait... Pitfall II works on the latest?! I haven't updated the system yet(waiting for an official release)... but that's VERY VERY tempting!
guidedlight
5 hours ago, John Stamos Mullet said: Pitfall II is glorious. Indeed it is. One question (apologies if it has been previously answered), why are there large black borders around the game, with the image nudged slightly to the right? This happens on both PAL and NTSC cartridges. It’s a bit better on Adventure, but there still a good inch available above and below the image. The image is still not correctly centered (look at the Sony badge on the bottom, versus the gate).

MrChickenz
You all are Geniuses! This is amazing! Medieval Mayhem Juno First Robot Tank Time Pilot Pitfall II All work for me now off the same Dumper! Star Raiders Touch Pad doesn’t work but I can live with that. It’s no deal breaker for me. Maybe down the road a new system release we might be playing! I’ll buy it in a heartbeat! I can’t thank everyone enough this is great! Thank You! HAVE YOU PLAYED ATARI TODAY! Edited May 23 by MrChickenz

Just to let you know there has been no changes to the software on the chip that deals with the DB9 controller ports. Although there is access now to that chip (which is writable) and I have heard some theories nothing yet has been attempted. 2
AtariYMás009
Why was the NTSC palette changed?, I mean, it looks so good but is there a specific reason?

+sramirez2008
My testing so far with Dumper: x.01 and FW: 1.1x-r3 (Debug version): 2600 Working Juno First Medeival Mayhem Pitfall II Tac-Scan Time Pilot Space Rocks - This is a DPC+ game and it works as expected! Thank you. Stay Frosty 2 - This is a DPC+ game and it works as expected! Thank you. 2600 Not Working Space Instigators (NTSC Version). I get corruption and shots passing through Invaders. Seems like the FPS keep changing on me. Please see attached video. 7800 Working Asteroids Deluxe Note: Pause Mode continues to work, which allows you to select the hidden game (Asteroids) from this cart. E.X.O. Froggie (with POKEY) Keystone Kapers Millie & Molly Donkey Kong XM Note: Although all the games I tested so far have loaded, I always see "No Game Detected" followed by Loading Game. Is this behavior expected with the latest FW? Please see attached video. I'll test more as time permits. This would be amazing.. since Star Raiders on the 2600 was one of my most favorite titles.. I still have it in the original box etc ..

My guess is, if there’s no game detected it will stay on the screen, but it’s detecting a game so it continues to the loading screen. Just part of the new loading process. All my expected carts work, including Juno First and Pitfall2 PAL but Medieval Mayham runs with glitches! Try to play it, it always dumps but mine has got issues... Sometimes the game resets during play or instead of start but often there are just little graphic glitches sometimes obvious. It worked fine on the first dumper. But many thanks for the load, amazing improvements🤙 Medieval is the only game causing me trouble😊 20240523_174435.mp4 20240523_174413.mp4 20240523_174339.mp4 20240523_174300.mp4

Have you tried a different HDMI cable or a different TV? I am also using the new paddles but that shouldn’t matter. Intro music and all seems fine on mine. MrChickenz
@DEANJIMMY try a regular set of paddles if you have them just to see if it makes a difference.
