The 2600+ has made my son a gamer

So my console and games arrived yesterday and I have never seen my son so excited - not even on Christmas. This morning, I go to the lounge to find this:

The funny thing is he hasn't shown a massive interest in games until now. He does like to play whatever I'm playing (which is kind of annoying, lol) but this is the first time he's actively booted up a console to have a go himself. LOVES Mr. Run & Jump!

That’s great! BREAKOUT is a good one. Paddle games are unique. There is nothing like it with modern gaming. Try MAZE CRAZE if you haven’t already. My daughter and I played that often. We still do! Lol!

He was just waiting for Atari. 💁🏻

Where we all should start. 🤟🏻

Try playing Combat with him. Just don't be cutthroat and stick him with the bomber in the plane games variation😜

I only have one joystick! I shall rectify this STAT.

Welcome to the dark side little man.

That's the thing about Atari, especially 2600, most games are pick up and play. Kind of reminds me of modern cellphone stuff, there's a reason its popular.

Yeah, and he even struggles with Master System and Mega Drive. Many of those games are too hard for him to get his head around. The Atari may have tough-as-nails games but they're simpler. He was teaching himself how to play Mr. Run and Jump and got to level two on his own :)
